The perfect laptop does exist
• This laptop is great for work and light gaming; it's quiet during light use, but louder during gaming. • Excellent quality, amazing screen, and good battery life. • It's expensive but worth the price. • Ensure adequate airflow to prevent overheating.

too noisy, all the time, even in idle, support is bad
the laptop, even if the built is solid and beautiful is not worth the money, it's always with fan on and even in silent mode/idle still fans are spinning like crazy, I would have expected much more from Razer, especially for this price..... I tried everything I could, followed all advises but still the laptop is too hot and battery life is a joke, reviewers showing 6h in idle but..... 1. even if it was 6h, they tested with screen at 20% brightness and airplane mode and everything shut down.... so... that's not real use case... 2. it's simply not capable to reach 6h, if you game, 1h, if you don't game 2h, with the GPU disabled, 2h45m do not buy

review for the razer blade 16 2024
razer blade 16 (rz09-0510) review for the rtx 4070 hello guys. so i have been using this laptop over 2 years now and this laptop is mid so far problems with the laptop: ==== intel cpu issue ==== the laptop has stability issues involving the intel cpu. many 2024 razer blade 16s use an intel i9-14900hx shipped with the microcode revision 120. the issue is that this version of the microcode has a degradation issue which damages the cpu over time. i had to use a third party software from reddit to update the cpu to microcode 132 to fix the issue... but the damage HAS been done to the cpu and performs weaker than usual. razer didn't even provide a BIOS update to automatically fix this issue... and it didn't come with a warning... thanks razer. i was completely unaware of this issue as it came as a fact that the laptop started having random BSODs for no reason. I had to use third party software such as throttlestop to limit the voltage and UNDERVOLT the cpu to reduce unnecessary max voltage, which improved the performance and thermal capabilities a bit. 2/10 for razer not implementing an emergency patch to the system. ==== defect / quality issues ==== this laptop also faced a manufacturing defect from razer as these laptops suffer from a faulty vapor chamber. this issue has been reported on the official reddit page on razer where an user discovered a defect on many razer laptops ranging from the 4070 to the 4090 gpus. the issue with this defect is that it causes the laptop to overheat a lot. this has became an issue as it affects the performance of the laptop a lot by overheating. 1/10 for razer not addressing the issue and avoiding to support customers. ==== fans and thermal management==== the fans look like its been bottlenecked as its too weak to cool the whole laptop down. it doesnt matter if you clean the fans and the process is a bit annoying as the dust also gets trapped between the gap and you would have to take the entire fan out which there isnt any videos i could find where they can perform a teardown in detail. it also attracts a lot of dust and the laptop doesn't even have an actual dust protection so it is eating the dust and coughing with it over time. to cool the system completely you would need to get an huge fan cooler on amazon with a very big price where as in taobao the price is much cheaper. 3/10 for the fans, expected better thermal capability not a hot oven. i dont mind the noise to be honest but the max fans sounds like a jet engine as i can describe ====overall conclusion==== a 4/10 for this laptop. it had potential for its thin, minimalstic design which makes it perfect for travel. however the stability and quality for this laptop is worse as i expected to be high quality for such an expensive laptop. the razer blade stands out from other gaming laptops where other gaming laptops have very thick, heavy design with unnessecery "gamer" aesthetics plastered everywhere on the laptop. so extra score for the exterior design for the razer blade. it peforms decent on many games but i feel like the stability needs to be addressed by razer. overall razer should design a bit more for the thermal management on the laptop. i feel uncomfortable when i see my cpu spikes up to 100c when gaming as i feel like it can damage the cpu.

Best value Razer Laptop
My so wanted a gaming laptop to replace his MacBook Air M1 for uni. We looked around and wanted a smaller form factor and subtle design. We looked at Razer models but they were upside of £1800. Thankfully Amazon sold this on BF for £1249. It has very good performance on all the tests and does not get that hot. Battery life is ok, but it’s a gaming laptop. it’s not too noisy and has thunderbolt 4, which is a bonus. Build quality is good, as it’s a metal body. No screen issues at all. Gaming laptops are usually loud and bold in design, however this is not. I definitely however would not pay upwards of £1500 for it.

Excellent laptop. And there is no fan noise problem.
The other reviews complaining about fan noise, the laptop just uses max fans during set up phase. Once windows 11 is properly booted up, open Razer Synapse software. Then choose performance balanced. Fans calm down immediately.

Best, laptop, ever
Best laptop I have bought, runs doom eternal on ultra nightmare flawlessly and the chroma rgb customisation options are limitless. I don't mind the battery life as I expect this from gaming laptops and the heat is also expected. Also in a dark room the camera quality made for some funny pictures and I was messing around for 30 minutes at least

Too loud
Great performance and looks good but unusable as too noisy. Had to return.

Paying for the name..
Unfortunately this laptop is just no good. Had two, returned both. Can’t be that both have the same fault so it must be the design. They’re too thin to handle this power. The cooling cannot cope, the laptop gets silly hot and thermal throttling goes wild. May as well have a cheaper less powerful (on paper) laptop. Or stick to a desktop if you need/want actual 4090 power. This isn’t a 4090, it’s just marketing. It’s miles away from a proper 4090. Same goes for all laptops of course, but I did expect more!
