Dell pH Test Strips for Urine and Saliva with 4 testing panels for increased accuracy: pH Dip Sticks (100 Count, Full pH Range from 0 to 14)

I received my Ph test strips and was pleased. The strips are packaged conveniently they are easy to take with you. I have started testing and it is very easy to use. The color chart is clear and you can easily see where you are at.I received an email from the company to make sure my order was received ok and that I did not have any questions or concerns. These strips arrived quickly and well packaged. I was buying these to measure my water and my media for cell cultures etc. (I'm a Chief Scientific Officer and Ph.D. in a biotechnology company). I was comparing them to another brand (Cat. #9590 from EMD) and my laboratory pH meter. My sample measured pH 7.4 on my meter and these strips accurately indicated a pH between 7 and 8. A pH 7.8 buffer was closer to 8 in color on the strip than the pH 7.4 indicating that these strips may be able to distinguish more than to +/-0.5 accuracy. Contrast was great. The EMD strips worked, but failed miserably in comparison.The only issue was the protocol: The protocol states to "dip" the stick in for 0.5 seconds and read the color value. When I dipped,the colors changed instantly as expected (for these strips), but the colors were bleeding off the strip (mostly gravity assisted).Thus, I would suggest a change in the protocol:Lay the strip horizontally on a clean surface. Using a pipette or dropper, drop a drop on each 'measuring square.' Pick up the strip keeping it flat and horizontally level and rotate it to 'flick off' any excess sample droplets, then read.I realize that would not make the product a 'dip-stick,' and that may be your requirement.Other than the bleeding, these strips Rock!

You can use urine and saliva if containing it first. I bought these to test my dog. One of the major factors in fighting her cancer is keeping her PH between 7.4 and 8. Cancer cannot invade alkaline tissue, so monitoring her PH with these sticks is KEY. I HAVE to test her urine stream daily, and well i don't prefer these strips as much as I do the two coloured strip for urine stream testing, I do prefer these strips, which have proven themselves much more accurate when im testing her drinking water which i distill and alkalinize. thank you

Product has not worked for me at all. I followed directions as indicated. Unfortunately, I tried the product (several times-Directions followed to a T) and no color changed. By the time I tried the product to contact seller or Amazon, it was after the closing date so I can't get my money back or an exchange. :-(I cannot recommend a product to others if several strips didn't work for me. I posted a pic to verify...should have laid out all 4 I tried on different occasions.

Biggest problem with pH Test Strips is that they arrived with no instructions. There is a color panel on the pack which one can assume one compares to the strip used to measure PH. There are also 4 colors in each column on the panel printed on the packet. I presume that each color when matched to a corresponding color on the packet should indicate the presence or absence of something. But the packet without instructions leaves one absolutely clueless about what the results indicate for the different colors. This appears to be a largely useless product without instructions about how to interpret since there is no one column of color configurations that is a perfect match for all of the colors when one uses a strip to test PH. And there is no clue as to what a match for a color on each row of colors might mean in terms of chemistry of fluid measured.I could change my evaluation of the product if provided with instructions and could then understand what I am looking at after using a strip.

I wouldn't buy these again. The biggest problem is the packaging. The lid is too tight so you have to pry it off with a knife and my box came with a huge sticker on one side of the box covering the pH scale. The sticker left a gummy residue when I tried to peel if off. The strips seem to work - they change color as expected with vinegar or ammonia - but I find them harder to read than strips from Sigma or Hach. They don't seem to have quite as much indicator dye so the colors are washed out. The green background under the pH 9-12 indicator also makes alkaline pH hard to read.

The test strips are excellent and an outstanding value for the price. Testing in Urine for pH was easy to interpret due to the four color system. The only downside to the product was the container. It comes in a sturdy clear plastic container with the pH values printed on front and back, zero to 7 on the front and 8 to 14 on the back. I immediately felt the container would keep the strips air tight and help them last longer. However, as I tried to open it, I discovered that it was smarter than I was. The top lifts off and snaps back on, but I ended up having to pry it off with a knife, thus cracking it. I'm sure that if I had been a bit smarter, or stronger, I could have figured out how to open it properly. Pulling it up by hand, and trying to work it off, didn't work for me.

I needed an easy device to check the anti freeze in my car. If the coolant is to acidic it can play havoc with the gaskets and other internal components of the engine. These pH strips were just the solution to my problem. Quick, accurate, and highly affordable. Great product.
