Dempsey Designs Minicraft 30cm Dragon Kit Height

I found the Dragon Soft toy very complicating when you put it together the tail section was a real pain to put together and the line you sew to half the body piece looks nothing like a rounded belly and for me it was an extreme disappointment and I've made alot of soft toys in me time including kits or done the proper way from scratch and this one ranks a real disappointment.

Quite a few small and varied pieces; however the instructions were good, in clear English, with easy-to-follow diagrams.The fur fabric was pre-cut very precisely, with a stiffener sprayed onto the underside. This gave it some rigidity, for keeping the shape of the finished toy, and also helped to prevent fraying. Having said that, I still preferred to oversew the inside of the seams which would take the most strain.I needed to provide my own thread (red, and either green or cream) and my own stuffing. As usual, I used the insides from the cheapest pillows available in Asda, they were fine.From start to finish, it took me 3 hours to complete the dragon. I used my sewing machine for most of the work, although I did pin and tack the seams beforehand.See photos - I thought my finished was slightly darker, and definitely fluffier than the one on the packaging, but the sizes (as given in the description) are definitely right.All-in-all, I like it, and it wasn’t difficult to make. I would recommend it for anyone who doesn’t mind a bit of hand sewing, or who is okay with a sewing machine.
