The last flashlight you'll ever need!
For some reason flashlights are a passion of mine. I am a hobbyist, and have some flashlights that put out in excess of 120,000 lumens. Some of them are so bright I cannot use them in residential areas and take them with me when I go walking late at night into uninhabited trails and areas. The two areas of concern for me are, output, and run time. A flashlight with high output will have a short run time. What I look for in terms of every day carry, is a flashlight with decent output and decent run time. Hard to find in a small package. I came across this flashlight in a review on YouTube and decided to try it out.A couple of things I notice Are things people should be aware of. The flashlight has an on-off switch to prevent it from being activated in the holster by mistake. It also has what I call a two-stage switch. A light press activates the first stage, a harder press activates the second stage. The first stage activates the spotlight and flood light feature which is a 5000 lumen output. This first stage turbo and Spotlight mode can be activated whether the actual flashlight is on, or off. Turning the switch to the off position on the side of it disables this. Having the flashlight activate accidentally in a pocket or in the holster could literally start a fire. That's the reason the flashlight has an on-off switch. Keep it in the off position when it's not being used.A light press on the first stage button when the light is off will show you the battery level. Turning the cap at the very end of the flashlight will reveal a type c charging port, this battery will charge at almost 2 amps! That makes it charge very very quickly. It also has a 6000 Mah protected cell that's installed. That is a huge battery for such a small light and is responsible for both output and long run times. When you hard press the switch to actually turn the flashlight on, you have four modes, low, medium, medium high and high. The high setting is 1300 lumens and has a run time of 4hrs 45 minutes! That is unbelievable! You can activate the turbo while the flashlight is on, and what you will notice is the regular flashlight output is a different color than the turbo. Turbo is much, much whiter and brighter. That is a very interesting feature and very useful. Having a warmer output is better for color rendering if you're looking for something you dropped in the grass or trying to discern the difference of wire colors if you're using this to look at electrical wires in the dark. This is very handy! The turbo mode is far too bright to use in Close Quarters but it does throw the light way, way out there! I have been a flashlight hobbyist for more than 10 years and I am utterly amazed at the amount of output from this small flashlight! The one caveat people must be aware of Is that a flashlight with high output Generates a lot of heat very quickly. Using the light in regular mode where you're on either the low, medium low, medium high, or high settings doesn't generate much heat, but once you activate the turbo Spotlight or full turbo at 5,000 lumens, the light generates a tremendous amount of heat very quickly! It's very small and Compact and does not have much thermal Mass to bleed off the heat from being used in Turbo for an extended amount of time so this is something you must be aware of and prepared for.All the features on this flashlight were designed very well and make a lot of sense. This is not just some delicate specialty flashlight to be used for certain applications, this is very well designed, rugged, and can be used by mechanics as well as law enforcement, first responder, or fire.I will probably buy a second one to throw in my backpack just to have when I'm out and about or at work.I would also go so far as to look up videos on YouTube to give you a better idea of the features this light has.

The best light you can own once you understand it
The media could not be loaded. This is hands down the best performance, cost, high runtime and multipurpose use flashlight money can buy. Now yes agreed with many other reviewers the light gets insanely hot on turbo. The heat efficiency could be better. But any light at 5000 lumens will get very hot this is to be expected. The turbo is designed for self defense and emergency use mainly. All other modes the light stays at a useable temperature while offering the ability to switch between flood light and spot light for different work or life scenarios. Another thing I seen reviews complain about is the tail cap and using it, it takes some adjusting but once you learn how to operate the light it's extremely simple. The amazing runtimes are tought to beat due to a high capacity 6000mah battery. It's compact and extremely well made. I don't know of anything else on the market right now that is similar to this in the sense of the ability to have mixed beans when needed with such high runtimes and brightness. I use it daily for work and couldn't be happier. Once you understand the design you will realize this light is the best money can buy! Highly recommend.

Great Flashlight
I'm a fan of Nitecore's flashlights. This one is nearly perfect. It is much more simpler to learn and remember the controls on this one than their other lights. But you have to practice otherwise you may think the controls are bad, or think the light is faulty, like I did at first. There are only 4 simple actions: half click, half press & hold, full click, full press & hold. Get this down and you can easily control everything it does, intuitively. And it has everything it needs and should have, including an easy lockout switch, battery level indicator, hidden USB-C, waterproof, stands up and very bright to very low settings, all in a compact size. The clip seems to get in the way a bit...I think it's removable, but not easily. And I have no use for the lanyard or belt case. They could keep those and reduce the price. A bought a second one

Quality Product, Built with Care/Thought
For the average user, this light provides more feature/power than you'll most likely ever need. For the true aficianado, there will never be a perfect product. In my search for a true quality product, I read countless reviews in which I began to see parallels to the cellphone market; products have become so well-built that reviewers have to nitpick the hell out of every feature to find things they don't like... reviews on this light were very similar... so many reviewers opined that the product was 'so close to being perfect' if only for this or that smal annoyance. I decided to make the purchase and after several days, have to admit I am truly satisfied. The light is amazingly well-engineered. The fact that the charging port is covered adjacent to the lock feature shows care and aforethought in the design. The carry pouch is similarly well-built, rugged, and functional. A light this powerful and small does generate alot of heat on max power, so take care to hold the light at the rear when using this feature as things get toasty very quickly. For those complaining about the functionality of the main button/syncing the flash patterns/memory, there is a very-easy to understand manual included with the light which explains exactly how things function. We all like to be intuitive and figure things out on our own and when we run into issues trying to quickly figure things out, we issue complaints... the solution: read the manual and practice a bit. This is a $90 flashlight and not some cheap knockoff... it was designed with some thought that translates into certain complexities that in the end, you might appreciate.Very satisfied with this. My first night out on a 5 mile evening hike with it, one of my black earbuds fell out and rolled partway down an incline. I was able to find it in seconds with this thing due to the massive coverage its beam provides.
