Q: Several reviews mention bad welding, or welding points that have rusted. However the product has a 3 year warranty. Doesn't the warranty cover rust?

Mine has rusted so that the top no longer closes. Cannot speak to the warranty as it is too much trouble to take apart and ship back so I have not bothered. It did not do well Outdoors for the few months I utilized it
