Its Greeeaaaat!!
2 Saracen albums on 2 CDs. The first is their last album Redsky, the second is their classic original album. Along with quite a few recuts and new versions of their original material. So who is Saracen, and why should you care? When the New Wave of British Heavy Metal came to prominence in the 80s we had Maiden and Judas Priest, but infact Saracen were a far better band in many ways. Their first album is an absolute must listen to for any rock fan. Their second has high points, but as many low and Redsky, the one released many years later harkens back to the early classic years.Quality is excellent and crispy clear, the drums come through beautifully which for me is often what I listen to first (what can I say Led Zeppelin fan, who doesnβt appreciate Bonzo?)Well worth the money.

if you like Magnum, you will love these guys
Brilliant product from a brilliant band. If Styx had come from North Derbyshire they would have sounded like Saracen and celebrated the Brim' Tavern instead of The Paradise.

As good now as it was 40 years Ago!
As a teenager growing up in North Derbyshire, these guys were my go to Rock Band. I even worked in the same factory as Steve Bettney! Lost my vinyl version of Heroes years ago. Finding this is just the best. Superb Album!

SARACEN 80s ROCKERS SYILL GOING STRONG !
Brilliant rock band from the 80s. I always knew that they would get a recording contract. One of those brilliant bands that almost got overlooked.

Which Bowl is the Salad In?
OK, I'll keep this brief, because I could go on - and on - about how good Saracen were/are.Why they were huge I'll never know, but this band produced the quintessential PompNWOBHM.Just imagine if Iron Maiden got together with Styx and Kansas and hired Rob Halford as singer, then you'd get Saracen. Pure Class. Led by the ferocious but melodic guitar of Rob Bendelow and the golden tonsils of Steve Bettney, ably supported by Richard Lowe on the Keyboards and the comepetent bass of Barry Yates. This double pack offers MONUMENTAL ANTHEM after MONUMENTAL ANTHEM.Takes me back to my days as part of the BRIM TAVERN BARMY ARMY, those days of yore when I wore my Saracen T-shirt and caught crabs.BUY and be a Hero, or forever be a FOOL!

What a voice!!!
Heroes Saints and Fools is a classic album, I remember having the tape in my had at school and rediscovering it later in life, what a top 10 album, such a great band. I asked Steve about his fantastic voice and why he wasn't singing for someone like Uriah Heep and he thanked me and said he felt like he was on borrowed time. This band are fantastic and blow you away live, you must buy this set.
