Great product and service

A well produced book, but not to recommended for the beginner. The title should be taken literally, as the work assumes a reasonable level of carving skills, without which the instruction is hard to follow. If you have already tried letter carving and encountered technical problems, this book is unlikely to to solve them. Perhaps the strongest part of the book is that which deals with letter design and layout.

A great book if you want to carve letters in wood or stone. Great book!

Not sure I like wood being in the same book as stone. It is useful.

A great introduction, that recommends starting with a limited range of tools.
