About the Artist Crash Romeo has the hooks, melodies, and classic song writing of power pop, meshed with younger punk aggression. They coexist nicely in both the rock scene and among more punk-influenced bands, nestled between influences such as Social Distortion and Face to Face. The band is made up of five friends, Travis Weber (vocals), Ryan Weber (drums), Steve Anderson (guitar), Lil Steve Matthews (bass, vocals) and Adam Nordmeyer (synths, keyboard). These guys have been playing music for over eight years, and they are all self taught musicians under the age of twenty-five! Crash Romeo is named after a combination of the character traits that all of the band members share, referring to relationships and past experiences, especially as their previous band, Centsless. They feel that the reason that Crash Romeo runs so smoothly is that the members of the band know each other so well. A unique fixture within Crash Romeos sound is the prominent synth parts in many of their songs! . Says Travis: "We felt that adding synths and keyboards to our band would give a whole new and unusual element, and that giving us a lot of synth-driven melodies would make us more distinctive."

Found Crash Romeo a few weeks ago in a Library sale. So I went and bought this album, sorry to say I only have their only 2 albums made. Where is this group today? I love them. Please let me know.

enjoyable.
this cd has a couple of really good songs, but a couple are really anoying one too. It didnt quite hit home for me. I know CR said that they were different but I felt like they really wernt. Dont get me wrong theres a couple of good songs that i really like, but stepping outsife the box... they didnt do that

With minutes, romeo 'crashes' onto the scene
"Minutes to Miles" is nothing you haven't already heard, even if you're not big on pop-punk. Fact is, Crash Romeo's power-pop meets punk rock sound has been around since the early 90's, and though it 'has' undergone many changes since then, the fundamental elements still remain. Song for song, CR belt out frantic power chords, bouncy synth sounds and larger than life vocals like they're going out of style. Ironic, considering that pop-rock/punk has never been bigger than it is today. Rarely, the band attempts to step outside of the pop-punk box, if only for a minute or two. "Hot Commodity" (song 9) goes dance pop ala matchbook romance, and before you know it, quickly shifts back to punk rock for the chorus and the outro. "On deaf ears we ride" (song 11) features strings and an acoustic guitar for the first couple of minutes, but like 'hot commodity', quickly shifts to a more accessible sound towards the end. I don't want to call 'Minutes' safe, because it isn't, but it certainly doesn't try to be dangerous either. To the credit of Crash, they ARE much more entertaining than similar bands like Houston Calls and Motion City Soundtrack, and their straight ahead punk rock sound is 'perfect' for the summer, so what have ya got to lose? Fans of Cartel, Fall out boy and Hit the Lights take note, Crash Romeo is here to stay!

Minutes to miles..
I heard about these guys over on the popular website myspace.com. I waited patiently for this album to come out after hearing two songs off of the album, "Get up, shut up" and "Dial M for murder". I was not disappointed in this album for one second. People can stereotype these guys and this album as another mainstream pop-punk band, but as long as they create good music, I will give these guys a good review.Top 5 songs:1. Get up, shut up2. 1曲目聞き始めて思ったのがVoの声がNEW FOUND GLORYにそっくりだな〜って!!いやぁ…このVoすごい!!とにかくハイトーン!!RACE THE SUNのVo並に!!アルバムに収録されてる曲はキャッチーな曲ばかりでPOP PUNKファンにはたまらないと思います!!いずれは『CRASH ROMEO』と言うバンド名を耳にする事が多くなると思われる。 そう思わずにはいられないアルバム!!これは間違いなく買いですよ!!!!

私はインディーズの楽曲が試聴できるサイトで偶然見つけたのですが、曲のテンポ・ノリの良さに感動し、アマゾンで購入しました。ボーカルが２人いるんですが、片方のボーカル、声高すぎです！女の人みたいな声です！こんな高音出して喉は大丈夫なの！？ってかんじです。けれど決してカンに触るような声ではなく、このバンドの良さ・特徴のひとつになっていると思います。ジャンルはポップパンク・ロックといったところでしょうか。FALL OUT BOY、THE STARTING LINE、Relient Kが好きな人は買い！だと思います。私がそうなので（笑）新星FALL OUT BOYといったところでしょうか。とにかく、買って損はない一枚だと思います。収録されている曲はどれもハズレじゃない曲ばかりだと思います。個人的に特にオススメなのは２・５・７番目に収録されている曲です。是非聞いてみてください☆
