This is a great tool. I have long used a rolling dowel for flat breads and crackers, and I greatly prefer this. The weight of the tool does the work, and only a light touch is needed to direct the tool for rolling. (Weight is 4.5 pounds).It makes it easier to get almost perfectly round flat breads like tortillas. Great for shaping naan and piadine. Doesn't require chilling for most uses, but recommended for summer use when working with puff pastry and similar pastry dough.Dough does not stick to the very smooth and very well made roller. It's beautiful, and I wish I had bought one long ago.

It’s heavyweight and helps to roll out the pie dough with out the sticking too much.

I have a family member who has gotten into making bread. Used to just use a wooden rolling pin (which was a pain--any type of dough would stick, etc). This makes it so much easier. Dough doesn't stick. Easier to roll out due to heaviness. And it's pretty! Comes with a warranty.

Nice Quality

My wooden rollin pin finally fell apart after many years of use. I wanted to try heavier roller as it is getting harder for me to press down and roll out pie dough. I haven't used the new rolling pin yet but it is so pretty and I like the wooden cradle to rest it on. I anticipate I'm going to love it.

Gave this as a gift. I didn't use myself, but the heft of it was promising. It also looks lovely in black and the resting piece was a nice addition.

It is heavy and works sooooo well

I thought I was getting a 'white' one, but it is gray. Everything else is what I hoped it would be.
