It does a good job of opening cans. Just like advertised, it cuts a smooth dull opening that will not cut you. The handles are a little bit longer than other brands, which I like, but it's also lighter weight than some of the more expensive brands. I think you'll like it. It works easily, not much effort to turn the handle and it doesn't skip or jump around while you use it. To me, these are easier to use than the electric kind.

Have used it a few times now. Seems durable but I thought that on the last one I bought (different brand) and it only lasted 6 months. I'm optimistic with this one though. It's easy to use and turns very smoothly. So far so good

Wow, it is extremely durable and surprisingly well built for the price. Will I buy more, you bet I would. I was skeptical at first and took a chance based on the price and I'm just elated that this turned out to be a good choice. The large extended handles seems to add more than enough torque without damaging the can opener itself.

Very happy I chose this can opener, it’s a great can opener for the price. Very smooth opening, I barely have to try to turn it and it opens cans so easily, and well designed.Three months later: editing because it’s already stopped working properly, so disappointing. I understand the lower star rating now. Editing from 5 to 2.
