I have a squirrel obsessed American Bulldog. I tried everything to get him to pay attention when he was thinking about running off into the woods after a squirrel... This also has a shock feature, and it was the only thing I have that got his attention! The shock is sufficient to get the attention of the most stubborn dog, like Charlie, yet not so strong that it will harm him. Usually, when he hears the bell, he will think twice about taking off... There are times that he will still go after them, but stops fairly quickly and returns so I can get hold of his leash. I highly recommend this product!

Purchased with hopes after reading how well it worked for other pet owners.Taking longer for my stubborn chiuahua to get his act together. Getting good results from the strong vibration. Have used the shock in extreme circumstances. Tried it on ourselves to make sure it's not too much first. Feels like a long static shock. Started with a 1, worked up to an 7. I didn't like his reaction, so I turned it down to a 5. He makes it seem like he's getting shocked once then again in like 3 seconds, but when I do it to myself it's not like that.The vibration doesn't hurt, just gets his attention, redirects and he listens. Able to tell him to go home and he will in a few commands without the vibration after a week or so! He use to run and hide.Sometimes it seems like it's not actually working with the first press of the button. You'll be able to tell when your pet feels it; vibration or shock.Wish it didn't have to be around his neck, but he's quite small.Light enough for my 6 lb doggie. Here's got no trouble sleeping or carrying it around.The collar it comes with it long enough for huge pets; had to cut the majority off. Can find a real cloth collar to attach it to. Just out it though the space.Battery lasting for days! Don't leave it on him all day, just when we're working with him or the possibility of needing it arises.Took him to the park, was able to let him off his leash and redirect work the vibration!

Have bought this item twice it works well and keeps my dog in control!

I like this product to keep our Pomeranian from barking at everything she hears. The vibration mode is more than adequate to get her attention.

This is the second collar for my pet, and lasted longer than the first. However, the collar doesn't 'wake up' after inactivity. The collar is lost (in my tiny home), and I can't find it, as the darn thing would rather sleep. This collar has saved me peace of mind and safety for my pet, when it works. I cannot recommend the collar, as it is not dependable.

The worst! It would stop working out of nowhere! I didn't even have it for a year!
