Seems safe
I got this for some added protection when working on our steep gable roof. I haven't had a chance to use it because of the weather, but I'll use it later in the summer. Overall the harness seems adequate and meets my expectations.

Protect yourself!
I've worked as HR for construction companies in WA, where fall protection is required by law if workers are more than 3 feet off the ground. While this may seem ridiculous, the requirement is research-based according to the degree of injuries sustained from that height in past claims, and fall protection kits are far less expensive than OSHA or L&I fines! The bungee nature of the fall strap is IMPERATIVE. Without some bounce in the fall strap, you can suffer some bad injuries when your fall is suddenly arrested, full stop. Also, I recall hearing the L&I guys saying something about ensuring that the leg straps fit well but won't cinch up to cut off circulation to your legs, in case you can't get yourself back up to the surface from which you fell, and are hanging there waiting for help for a while. All together, I'm highly impressed with the quality materials and construction of this kit, and will recommend it to my construction friends, in addition to making sure my husband is kitted out the next time he goes on our roof or a tall ladder!

Well made
This fall protection safety harness seems to be well made with quality materials. The strapping materials are clean, each cut has be heat treated to prevent fraying, the seams and joints appear to be stitched together with a consistent stitch pattern using a heavy weight thread. The metal hardware is all 1/8th thick, heavy and looks to have a corrosion resistant coating. Attachment hardware are marked with either ANSI or CSA specifications and load ratings. The package included a booklet with instructions and carrying bag.The harness is easily adjusted to maintain both comfort and safety. We live in a very rural area, help is not always available and if help is available; it is a long way away. This harness is part of our disaster kit for making emergency roof repairs, addressing damaged trees and or emergency assistance for our neighbors. Having used fall harnesses many years ago, this unit is a vast improvement over those early kits. This harness is stored in a "go bag" along with gloves, helmet, ropes and climbing gear. This harness could be a real asset to our ability to "self-rescue" in a rural environment. The "quality of material" category was not rated because the data tag was missing the "batch number". Missing this data would be a hard stop on a job site with most company safety officers, state inspectors or Federal OSHA inspectors. I did reach out to TRSMIMA to see if a batch certificate is available for this harness.
