Nice map for the MABDR
I love the old time feel of paper maps, but even better, they are useful.. no batteries. The Butler maps for the BDR's are very informative, nicely laid out, and reliable. I wish the sections were easier to follow and that I could fold the paper map in a way that each current section was in the fold and readable in my motorcyle tank bag. But nice maps. I would not do a BDR without a paper map, and these are really nice.

Not terribly useful on the Bike, but good for planning at home
This map, like all the other Butler moto maps I have, is not particularly useful on the bike, but rather for an overview and for planning while in the well lit comfort of home. The map is far too busy -- road and topo information along with the G1/G2/G3 highlighting make the main map very dense and busy. Graphically, it is 30 pounds of information crammed into a 10 pound sack. The main map scale is 1:750,000 (1 inch is about 12 miles) ... it would be much more useful and readable at 1:375,000 (about 1 inch is about 6 miles). So maybe two maps instead of one. On the bike, the only useful part are the section zoom maps on the back side. The section zooms are scaled at 1 inch for about 5 miles. These still are graphically very dense, but at least readable. A special note to pilots: this map is the motorcycle equivalent of flying VFR with only a WAC and no sectional or terminal area VFR charts. So meh. Download the GPS tracks and bring your AAA maps for the highway sections and wing the gravel roads. Or consider what I did: just cut out all the section maps to use them as strip maps. Again, meh.

A must have if your doing the BDR’s
Full of information and shows good detail… you will want to get the gps download to see turns. Hard to travel BDR with just map… but can be done…

Nice and well done, but could stand some minor tweaks to various necessary information
I would agree with John somewhat. The map is great quality and has some great info on it. I wish there was more of a list of "sights to see" with each section. Having a descriptive paragraph is nice, but "be sure to check out..." is not as helpful with more details. One note though...it would be near impossible to follow this route with the map alone. They say this somewhere, either at ridebdr.com or on this map somewhere, but they caution you that you must have a multi-track function GPS in order to be able to follow this route. Your average cheapest Garmin or TomTom cannot do this. You can download these GPS tracks from their website above and it comes in the 9 sections as indicated on this printed map. I have loaded them into an app called Scenic. (Note: you get some free credits when you download this app, don't blow them all on maps as you also need credits to import tracks like this MABDR). You can get a lifetime membership for about $50 I think...I'm going to do that so I can have access to all features of the app...like unlimited offline maps and unlimited tracks.I will edit this if necessary as I will be taking most of this route at the end of May.

Durable and super useful. Buy it.
This map is a MUST for anyone traveling the mabdr. It's great for planning fuel stops and overnight accomodations.I like that it's printed on durable material that doesn't fall apart when it gets wet and it shows which portions of the track are paved and unpaved.

Got to plan the route with a good map.
Planning to hit at least part of the MABDR this season, 2020. I like having maps to look at and have in my hand instead of trusting electronics. Map seems detailed enough. Also looking forward to trying part of the NEBDR this season too.
