Layrite Superhold Pomade 120g | High Hold | Water Soluble | Medium Shine

I'd been using Uppercut Deluxe matte pomade until I tried this Layrite. I want a good hold without the greasy wet look of most strong pomade. So the Uppercut matte was my favourite, however I live near the coast and it gets windy, which the matte pomade just moved and volumised in the wind so I looked like I'd been dragged through a bush!Enter Layrite Strong. Fabulous hold, great for styling and still aleasy to comb without knotting, is slightly shinier than the matte pomade but even using a fair bit, it doesn't look greasy. Now my hair stays in place in the wind! 😁Smells lovely too without being too pungent. Great stuff. New favourite.

I have thick straight hair which is usually around medium length and I find this product works very well in taming my hair and allowing me to style into a sort of slick back/parted style. I also like the fact that you can rinse the majority of this out without shampoo so you can reapply a few times without having to wash your hair completely. For best results I speread a small amount evenly through wet hair and blow dry while combing it to the desired style, then add more product on top of the dry hair to hold in place.

So, the first pot I brought it was great Styles my hair with a hard finish and easy application, so I ordered another after finishing it. This second one leave my hair feeling greasy and doesn’t dry just making my hair feel damp and lifeless.Also it’s called layrite because it makes your hair lay right! Took me a while to get that one, well the first pot does.

I have started to grow my hair during lockdown to try and achieve a nice man bun but as we all know we need to go through the ugly stage. I cut my hair in a way that I have an undercut comb over while growing my hair and needed something to hold my hair in place.I tried many regular products from supermarkets and they were bad. Tried John Frieda products and they were okay but still struggled with my hair.However, this product is superb. Holds my hair well and gives it a nice shine. The smell is also weird but pleasant? Something I haven't smelt before but smells so so nice.Will be stocking up on this product, highly recommend.

This stuff is fantastic .. I wish I had discovered it years ago!Definitely the best product I have ever used (I'm on my second tub!)It lasts for ages (as you don't need much)And to restyle in the morning, its a breeze (that can't be underestimated!)And it washes out really quickly and easily.I did LOADS of research before buying this .. so ignore all those 'influencers' who push random products for revenue .. I'm not getting paid for this review, it is honestly just a great product .. buy some, you won't regret it!

I was coming to the end of a tin of Uppercut pomade so I thought I'd give Layrite a whirl as my all time favourite pomade brand (Native) seems to have vanished.For a start, I think this pomade is too pricey for the amount you get in the tin and have to apply to achieve results. Even Layrite themselves on their YouTube how to use tutorials tell you to use a decent knuckle sized worth, which I personally don't want to be doing with a 20 quid tin of products.I've used it in dry hair and damp hair. It surprisingly gives good volume when used in dry hair, but I still find it hard to control my thick and course hair with it, but that's probably me not using enough.It holds strong and keeps my hair in place through all types of bad weather. It makes my hair pretty solid when set like I've used a gel. It's good that it gives you the time when first applied to comb it into position without hardening up too fast.I like the scent of it, but I would prefer if it was a bit stronger.Not a bad product but I find I get better results with Uppercut, it smells nicer, it lasts longer and doesn't cost as much

I periodically try something different, just for a change, but each and every time I end up back with this. It has such a strong hold and is very sticky during application so easy to to shape, yet you can wash it off so easily.
