These dowels saved our clay unit! They were a great price and the right size for rolling clay slabs!

Product came as described. Fit perfectly for a project I’m working on.

These are very smooth, right out of the bag.These take both dye and stain really well. I also had success making some beautiful blond knobs out of these using just rubbings of tung oil (and steel wool between coats).I'm struggling to identify the species of wood. Probably birch, but the grain on mine left some doubts. Possibly a Chinese species. I have seen what I think is called "Chinese Southern Elm" look similar to this.If you are not going to turn these on a lathe or make something else out of them, these would make really good youth relay race batons. Though maybe give them a little Minwax wood stain and/or varnish first so they look good.

Dowels are great quality and perfect for my needs.

The dowels received are 1.22-1.24" diameter (tapered). It is not reasonable or acceptable for a dimension specified to the nearest 1/8" ("1-1/8in") to be off by very nearly an entire 1/8". Prefacing this specification with the word "approximately" does not adequately disclose the tolerancing issue, as the actual dimension is far more approximate to 1-1/4" than 1-1/8".

These are nice wood dowels. Really like them.

Says 1 1/4 inch wide but are only 1 1/8 inch. I can make them work for what I need. Just giving everyone a heads up.
