Smells weird, color doesn’t look natural
I ate caviar all my life, this one is the worse even. Tastes very nasty and had not healthy smell, color looked not natural more like fake

Salty & Yummy
Never had shrimp caviar before, but it was delicious. They're little pearls of flavor. I garnished some small bites and canapes with them and it was a bit at our dinner party. Seriously addicting

Very fishy and salty -- an interesting addition to other things, but only in tiny bits
I was surprised at how fishy and salty these taste. The effect for me is that they're a nice addition to something if used sparingly. But I don't enjoy them as a small spoonful on a cracker with cream cheese for example...they're just too overpowering. However, with just a few sprinkled on that cracker, it works fine. They are, of course, pretty little red dots when used sparingly, so they potentially have a place in your appetizers (or meal). But sparingly is the way to go.

Shikran Red Shrimp Caviar Pearls - Not what I expected
This review is for Eurocaviar - Shikran - Red Shrimp Caviar Pearls 3.52 oz [100 g] [Premium Caviar Alternative].I really enjoy sushi, and thought these would be a great addition to homemade sushi. I assumed I'd eaten similar products in the past usually masago or tobiko, but these turned out to be not what I expected. These are much more like shrimp flavored tapioca balls. There's no "pop" or crunch. When I first opened the container it smelled very plastic-y. The taste is just okay, but I did not enjoy the texture.Pretty disappointed.

Interesting caviar alternative. Makes for a unique hors d'oeuvres addition
While it isn't really caviar, there are some similarities in texture and appearance. They don't have that distinct caviar flavor but instead a unique, salty and slightly fishy shrimp based caviar alternative. I can't say I love it in every dish but it is a good addition to a melba toast of salmon carpaccio dish. It's very interesting to use and I like that it has me thinking outside of the box on how to use it. Overall, though, it's a decent alternative to try if you want something with a similar range of applications and flavors.
