Replaced my old battery in a Dell Vostro 5502 laptop that was only lasting an hour or so. Did the 3 cycles of 95% to 5% and am now getting 3.5 to 4 hours on battery. Fit perfectly.

The battery in my nearly 4-year-old laptop battery was discharging very rapidly, so I started searching for a replacement. I didn't want to order the OEM battery because Dell charges $110 for an item that was likely made in China anyway. DISCLAIMER: Please do not attempt battery replacement if you're not mechanically inclined. It's not hard to do, but there are many tiny screws need to be removed. Additionally, you can brick your PC if you don't install the battery correctly. The Emanjor battery is much more affordable, so I decided to give it a try. The battery arrived quickly, but I was a little concerned that a portion of the internal plastic packaging was damaged. A picture of the damage is included. Since the battery didn't seem to be damaged, I figured it was still OK to install. As you can see from the pictures, the Emanjor battery looks identical to the original one installed by Dell. Consequently, there were no issues with fitment. Be advised that Emanjor includes instructions on how you should manually calibrate the battery. The directions suggest you should fully charge and then fully discharge the battery 3 times. Although I thought it was overkill, I elected to follow the directions. After installation, I ran a battery report, and the Emanjor battery registered 40,005 mWh. Since this is the maximum design capacity, I was initially pleased. However, about 5 days later, the battery report shows that the fully charged capacity had dropped to 39,454 mWh. Then, a few days later, the battery report indicated that its fully charged capacity had dropped to 37,125 mWh. Fortunately, the fully charged capacity hasn't declined any further over the past 3-4 weeks. I'm hoping it's capacity will remain at this level for some time to come. The OEM battery remained at its design capacity for several years. I'm not sure this battery will be as long lived. That's why I say the jury is still out on is still out on the battery. I will try to update this review and report on the battery's functionality over time.

Battery working good

I have an Inspiron 5500. The battery fit with no issues and seems to be doing it's job just fine. Make sure you drain and charge the battery a couple of times before going full HAM.
