we have an exposed heater element at bottom of our electric oven. As instructions stated, we have it at the bottom of the oven under the heat element. Size fit perfectly for our basic standard oven. At first use , it did have a faint odor, not strong and only after that first use of oven after placing it in oven. subsequent oven use, no odor.Looks great. keeps foods from dripping onto oven bottom and easy to wipe off clean. we haven't put in dishwasher. we clean ours simply using dish detergent wiping in sink, dry off and place back in oven. First one we had, another brand, lasted over 10 years, with cleaning periodically. we shall see if this one lasts as long. Highly recommend as long as you read instructions on how to use based on the oven type you have in your home. Don not put on the bottom of your oven, if you have a double oven. in a double electric oven, the bottom oven of this type has heat element at top. so that bottom oven with heat up the liner that is in the oven above it. you can use this in that way. to be safe. you can put one of your racks at lowest level in oven and lay this on that very bottom rack to avoid damage.

These are so easy to use, cut to size, they are easy to clean off and good quality. It's saved me from having to scrub the oven bottom. We have a gas oven and can't put this liner on the bottom but it works just fine on the lowest shelf. Great for using with pizza, the cheese and toppings tend to come off while baking on the rack so now I just have to wipe off the messes when the oven cools. Has reduced smoking too since it doesn't hit the bottom of the oven anymore and sit there burning.

Fițs big for my oven, very easy to adjust the size, not too thick, didn’t try it on a top rack for baking a pizza for example, I’m only using it to protect the ovens bottom, does the job great, can easily be washed in dishwasher, perfect for intended purpose.
