Tasty reverb pedal.
The Alabs Cetus is an Excellent Reverb pedal. NOT 'for the the money,' but compared to ANY reverb I've owned/used (over 30 years playing). Build/Use: I used a relatively cheap isolated power supply (500ma) and the Cetus produces NO UNWANTED NOISE. It's easy to use/manual easy to understand. Seems well made compared to the Strymon, Walrus Audio, Nordland, Coffee Shop, JHS, Peterson, TC Electronic, etc pedals it sits next to on my pedalboard. (And better made than a lot of mid to high priced brands I was disappointed with and returned or sold). It DOES NOT suck tone, or alter volume of dry signal (dry signal decreases past about 2 o'clock on mix knob to go fully wet if needed, eg, effects loop). Comes with a very nice pick, 4 stickers, little stick-on rubber base pad, and an easy to understand manual (printed on quality paper). Sound: The reverb tones are VERY impressive on every type/setting (I do keep modulation low or off on most - but up is great on the spring). The tones are the hi-fidelity type, not lo-fi. And sound very natural. The Plate, Spring, Hall, and Church are my favourites. I prefer normal/natural reverb sounds, so that affects my opinion. The Cetus does this very well, and then some. If you like really weird, artificial sounds, or reverbs that seem tacked on along-side your dry signal, this is not the reverb you are looking for. Cons: I don't really need freeze functions, and I would have preferred separate Pre-Delay and Modulation knobs rather than the little switch (Switch seems same quality as Strymon or Walrus Audio in feel/use, BTW). Also top mounted TRS stereo jacks would have been nice. Writing on pedal could have been a bit bigger, or used a more contrasting colour to help my knackered old eyes. Shiny knobs do reflect light a bit, but the look has grown on me. I can't comment yet on long term durability, obviously. Conclusion: Great sound, analogue dry-through, no tone suck, soft footswitch, true stereo, easy to use, well made, looks nice. Tone/effect quality and specific features (analogue dry-through, size) make this reverb pedal better than any other for my needs. And better than any reverb I've owned/tried at over 3 times the price. The Alabs Cetus Reverb is a 5 Star pedal, in ANY company, at ANY price point.

Great Range of sounds
This is an excellent piece of kit… loads of great tuning options, I linked it to a delay pedal & set it on octave, it basically produces the sound of a sitar. The -octave setting gives my guitar the sound of a fretless bass. Absolutely love it!

For the price it's amazing.
I wanted to know what each effect sounds like, learn how to use them, and decide on which types I'd like dedicated pedals for at a later date. It is perfect for this use. Really professional tones, with a high range of flexibility in their settings for each effect. The Stereo capabities allowed me to experiment with signal chains on multiple amps. The only down side I found is a slight volume drop when the effect is engaged, but for the price it's amazing.

Great for the price, sounds good, easy to use
There are, of course, pedals and modules that sound better and have additional features like modulation via CV or Midi but they will come with heftier prices. This pedal provides a number of great sounding delay modes (and a couple that are just ok) in a very robust package at a decent price and the stereo in and out is very nice to have. I find myself using this more often than some more expensive options that I own precisely because it is so easy and immediate to use.

Wow!!!!!!!!! UPDATE……Still Wow!!!!!
I am so impressed with this Reverb pedal!!! What incredible value! The sounds that this pedal produces is nothing but outstanding. Don't believe me? Check YouTube. I don't think you could find an all round better Reverb pedal, and not just in this price range either. Sounds are crisp and in clear stereo. Very little, if any interference noise. I am that impressed I will be buying the other 3 pedals soon. Watch this space, 'Alabs' remember the name. These pedals are brand new to the market and I am pretty sure prices will rise as the word spreads, which it is doing very quickly. If you are thinking about getting one or more of these 4 pedals, just go for it before they sell out. UPDATE- I have since bought the other 3 Alab pedals and I can tell you they are simply amazing!! The Timeslip Delay pedal is the best delay pedal I have ever used. It literally blew my mind when I first used it. Out of the 4 pedals I would say that the Timeslip delay is the best, but they are all fantastic. For value for money you won’t get better at this price range. These pedals are as good if not better than some at twice the cost and more.

Honestly can't say it's all that good
I've had better... I'm a pro signed guitarist and so I have varied kit ranging from the days I was a struggling budget musician to being blessed and owning pro kit... I got this because the demos were great and the hype was strong on here... It's OK... It has some funky sounds but I mean that isn't my thing at all.. The tape is useless. Then the other effects are just as useless to me as well. It looks cool, it's a good size and shape. Like it's beautiful tbh. It's well built and comes in a nice box etc and looks nice but that's it... You're paying for some useless effects you're likely to never use, and when you want to you'll need to be bent down playing with the dials and then need to change it again for the rest of your set that uses standard delay settings like the rest of the world lol. .. Isn't worth the money imo. At all. Yeh it's stereo and tap, but my sonicake levitate is so far my preferred delay pedal... And I have pro gear... Like strymon pedals... And I have a sonicake levitate delay amongst them proudly...it has all I need and this one has no wet or dry settings either whereas my sonicake does. And it has tap. And even has a nice reverb in it too, although I use my strymon big sky for reverb. My levitate was £10 second hand.... And I've tried numerous delays and still love it over any. I even have a Chinese $20 delay pedal that I preferred over this... I was considering a strymon delay, but honestly my sonicake is spot on and gives me the type of delay I love. So why? Just to be like oh yeh look how much money I spent on kit and how cool I am? Not me. You have to hold the switch down to initiate tap tempo. And even then it isn't blatantly obvious it's re engaged from the last tap setting you had in, not ideal for live situations where you're moving quick between songs. If you're into funky weird sounds and techno stuff go for it. If you're the next Tom morello you might like it I dno... Defo not for me, I like a pedal I plug in and instantly fall in love with and I honestly struggled hard to even like it... Or even find use for it and justify the £98 price tag. Look around at other pedals people.
