The Illustrated History of Girlie Magazines: From National Police Gazette to the Present Hardcover – February 27, 1984

This book wasn't what I thought it was. I was hoping it would list magazines, cover dates and the like so I would know what was out there. It isn't. There are some covers, but this is more of a written history starting around 1900 and going to the mid 1980's (this book is copyrighted 1984 so the book was well out dated). My suggestion to anyone looking for a history of girlie magazines would be to pass on this and look for Diane Hanson's The History of Men's Magazines. There are a lot more covers and information in it, though it too is not what I was looking for.
