Great Low Cost Solution For A Flooded Basement
Well (no pun intended), it finally happened. We normally have a dry basement but every once in a while a Nor'Easter comes through that drops water/snow on us for an extended period of time. This time it was rain; a full week of it. Not super hard, just tons of it. The 3600 sq.ft. house was built in 2000, but the outside stairs to the basement are not sealed very well as they allow water to come in from the sides where the bulkhead cement meets the basement wall. So, water entered under the basement door and put two inches of water on the basement floor before we noticed it. We have a sump pump already installed but it’s on the opposite end of the basement. Works well but it turns out the basement floor by the bulkhead is lower than the sump pump basin on the opposite side of the house. Oops, now a lot of water coming in. Decided to add a second sump pump basin near the bulkhead door. Ordered a Fluent Power 3/4hp sump pump (Model #FSP750DW, $50) as it was reasonably priced, we could get fast free delivery (thank you Amazon Prime!), has an automatic on/off float switch, a 26 foot 110vac power cord (so we could reach the nearest outlet in the basement) and could be easily connected to a standard garden hose. We didn’t have time to cut through the house sill and do a proper abs/pvc pipeout. So we decided to pump the water in the new pit to the first one with a standard garden hose. Yeh, not an ideal solution but we needed to do something quick, get the water out, keep the water out and the freezing cold weather was coming back in. The pump arrived with a minor issue but Lee and the people up at Fluent Power resolved the issue about 15 minutes after we sent them a ‘help!’ email request. We had someone cut the 4 inch cement basement floor, we dug out the sump pump basin and trench area in front of the basement door, installed the basin/trench and put the Fluent Power pump in. Done! The water continued to come in under the basement door, dropped into the trench pipe and then into the basin. The Fluent Power pump worked first time, every time. Easily transferred the incoming water to the other sump basin (75 feet away). Come Spring, we’ll pipe the Fluent Power pump directly to the outside and make a permanent connection so we can take full advantage of the pump’s power (3300gph). WE ARE IMPRESSED WITH THE FLUENT POWER 3/4hp PUMP BUT EVEN MORE IMPRESSED WITH THE COMPANY AND IT’S PEOPLE. Anyone can claim to be the best. It's when the chips are down that you find out how well / easily a company's products work and how well they are backed!

Empties incredibly quickly
As with every sump pump I've ever had, the float switch is not great but other than that it works really well. It empties the sump very quickly. I wish there was a backflow check valve to keep the water in the hose from flowing back into the sump when the motor shuts off. I'm very happy with it as the design issues are inherent to every sump pump I've ever owned. I would definitely buy again.

Worked very poorly, had to return.
Less that 6ft of vertical and 3ft of horizontal hose and this pump couldn't push water out consistently. Get a Wayne Waterbug; that's what I replaced this with and it worked like a champ, even left it outside in the pool basin for a few months to pump water out after it rained while I waited for a liner -- Go with the Wayne Waterbug, it's hands down better. Worked immediately, every time, for months.

Works great, just a little slow!
This little pump did the trick to drain our 22x52 pool. Took roughly 5 1/2 hours. Husband wished it would have gone quicker, but I bought the cheapest one on the market to try it out and I told him we got what I paid for. We were pleased with it non the less.

Great for above ground pool closure time
I love this product! I wished I would have known about it sooner. I spent almost $200 renting from Home Depot. This is about the price for a one day rental but you get to own it. I mainly use if for my above ground pool and it works great! A piece of advice if you turn it off make sure you take it out of the water. I unplugged mine and forgot to take it out and the pool kept draining. The water level was way lower than I intended

It doesn't pump properly
I needed a new pump for my small frog pond. It stated that this pump works good for pools and pond. Well it ran good for one day. Now when I turn it on it goes maybe half power and slowly dies out pumping water. If I keep it running all the time in about 2 hours nothing is being pumped, yet motor still running. I've gone through all the problems I could have with it, but nothing changes. It only pumps when I shut it off for a long period of time and turn it back on. But again only for 2 hours. Very unhappy with this purchase. Now looking for another new pump, this was a waste of money.

Works great!!!
Used this pump to drain a dirty above ground pool. Using Amazon Prime, it arrived the next day after ordering. The 3/4 horse pump worked great. I attached a pool hose to the pump to drain and the pool was empty in no time. It has an adapter for a garden hose as well and a 33 ft electrical cord which kept the connection a long distance away from the water

Thank you
Had a small issue and Lee sent me a new pump right away! Didn’t have to argue or anything.... have a 40000 litre pool and recirculating 600’ of hose on pool shack and working better than I thought....! Great price and good pump... I don’t usually leave reviews but I had to because of a great group of people selling this pump

did not work out of the box
there is no standard on off button, and i had to try to trick the floater into starting the unit with about a 10% success rate. THere is no way to trouble shoot what was wrong with this unit. It would work sporadically for 2-3 minutes then stop working then start again, at times it would make a rumbling sound as if it was functioning but no water was being pumped. A hour hour job took 8 hours and constant supervision, I waited for two days for this to arrive so it would do a "quick" job; but it ended up sucking up an entire afternoon of trouble shooting. The manual it came with poorly translated to english and barely made any sense . The troubleshoot portion was not clear and was of no help, this is being returned tomorrow, so thank you amazon for having a good return policy, this whole experience was very dissapointing.
