KP Tactical 380 Aluminum Snap Caps (10 Pack)

One of my favorite pocket pistolero can seriously snap a firing pin if a snapcap isn’t used so it was important for me to get some to dry fire it. I went between getting these, brand name ones or making my own. Due to safety (these look like dummy rounds but some do not) I grabbed them. I’ve been pleased.In the past I have either made some or I’ve used some other people made by making a round without a real primer or powder. These look and feel real but they also don’t hold up too well. Since these are machined out of a single piece, I figured they’d last longer and they indeed do.The pics you see show a bit less than a month of usage. I love the fact they do not fool me into thinking it’s real (but I do treat it as such for safety) and where the firing pin hits has held up well. I thought it was eraser type material but it takes an impression from the firing pin and it goes back to normal after a bit when they aren’t being used.I was worried about the pin making an impression but it regains it’s shape. This helps because you can see if the pin is in danger of hitting too low or too high so you can take it to a “Smith” to get fixed.Overall, these work well for my needs, I like them and they aren’t expensive. I’ve also used them for a 9mm in a pinch.

So, here's my honest opinion. I bought these in .380 ACP and they are just little bit shorter than standard ball rounds. The ends are more pointy and the tip is flat in addition to overall length. I use these in my Ruger LCP gen 2 (not the LCP II) and they work fine. Just do not baby the slide beacuse you will cause it double feed and/or fail to eject. Let the slide feed them as intended. I have noticed some of the aluminum on the rounds had been partially worn off from normal use. Not to worry they still work fine and they have not damaged my gun at all. These are a great alternative to A-Zoom snap caps if you want to get more for less and get more practice clearing double feeds. I'm going to buy more soon.

Well made with no plastic. If you want to be picky: if they would cost same , I'd make them like your 9mm ones out of brass only because weight and feed closer to real.

Decent price. Okay quality. Next time I will pay 8 or $10 more for higher quality.

Seem dimensionally accurate, and feed properly through the mechanism.

These are very good for training and practice. They arrived quickly, as ordered and will be put to use immediately.
