You must be careful when making your selection because Amazon makes it difficult to see you’re purchasing a used vs new device. The install was very easy and the camera served its purpose. The alarm is loud and seems to recognize movement well. For us, the video quality was poor and the video lagged as well. The company stated we did not install it properly and that it didn't have a good wifi signal, however the camera had a very strong signal and the installation was very easy to follow. We are certain that we had a proper signal and installed it correctly. Perhaps this will work better for someone else and maybe ours was just faulty. It served its purpose, but the poor quality and lagging video had us to end up returning it. Company followed up multiple times to ensure we received our refund..

We have two grandchildren, ages 3 and 18 months in the house. This is only part of the solution, but it is a fantastic addition. Super easy to install. Just make sure your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi you intend to have the SwamCam work on. Only a single false positive. Nice that it sends you emails of the triggering event to analyze. Tech support has been fantastic, and I even had the pleasure of speaking with the CTO. We did have some issues with the power supply, but they shipped a new one, no questions asked and we were back up and running in less than two days. I highly recommend it to anyone with a pool. I spent weeks researching pool alarm systems, and so far, I am very happy with this choice. Will update if my opinion changes, but 5 stars so far. Looking forward to the door sensors they are about to release as well.
