Official 'Perfect Pools' Scum Bug Hot Tub and Swimming Pool Oil Absorbing Sponge

Brilliant! Not only was it super fast delivery (ordered last night and received this morning) this little sponge is fabulous and does exactly what it is supposed to. I'm scrupulous about keeping my spa clean and after yesterday I could see the surface had the remnants of sun tan lotion and lord knows what else on the surface from my 6 year old getting in and out of it. Popped this in and in the time it took to have lunch the water is sparkling clean again and the little bug is a grim brown. Wasn't sure it was going to work due to other reviews but it's brilliant. Worth every penny. No idea why others say it doesn't work unless they're expecting it to clean the whole spa which is not what it's for, that's what your chemical routine and filter does.

FAKE!! These are NOT real scum bugs and disintegrate ruining your filter. They turn brown when exposed to bleach or chlorine as they are just cheap basic white sponge. I soaked mine in a tub of clean water and bleach and it went brown. Nothing to do with soaking up oils!

I thought my hot tub was clean until we put this in. After just one day it had gone from white to brown.

Shop around for better value.

Emptied and cleaned the hot tub before refilling and decided to add the big the next day after I'd done the chemical dosing. The following day the sponge had turned brown. Strange as tub hadn't been used but I assumed it wasn't as clean as i I'd thought which is surprising as I'm kinda fanatical about keeping it clean. Then read the other reviews which explains it! Tried washing the sponge out as recommended only to find it stays the same colour.... so pretty useless item that clearly doesn't work!

We've tried the off brands and they simply do not do the job. Best price I can find on the the real Scum Bug is right here on Amazon.

The sponge is a ridiculous size and the price for a sponge that fits in the palm of my hand, come on. I should have read more on this item and also no refund or return offered and it's not even opened. Sealed. Apparently tennis balls work just as good and I can buy a pack of 4 for 2.00 at the Dollar Store.

Lieferung entspricht leider nicht dem Original (Abbildung im Angebot ist das Echte Teil ).Schaumstoff ist deutlich grober.Verfärbt sich nach nur drei (!) Tagen in neuem, ungenutzten Wasser in brau/ orange.

Not my fav...doesnt soak up the scum like other balls do.
