Aqua Computer Dr. Delid tool for Skylake, Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake processors

This is probably the best delidding tool design for ease of use and no worry delidding.It twists the IHS instead of pushing it from one side to the other taking the pressure off of the PCB by distributing it to all four sides instead of just one.Someone definitely used this Dr. Delid tool before. There were stress marks on the push plate. I'm OK with that and ill keep it.The picture is my 8700k CPU dies thermal paste misapplication. There were several tiny bare spots where there was no thermal paste at all. If you look closely you can see darkened black edges around said "holes". The second i saw that, i knew I was fixing the problem. I was revealed.The CPU temps would spike to 80c in seconds and every few seconds climb a degree till it hit 99c+ in programs that utilize all 12 threads.I used thermal grizzly Conductonaut (liquid metal) for under the IHS and Kryonaut on top.The system has been up an running for about an hour and while everything needs to settle, now the cpu doesn't go above 75c. No matter what program I throw at it. It idles at 28c on air but it's overclocked at the moment. 4.7GHz @ 1.25vI'm real happy with Dr. Delid and the other products I used to fix my problem.

This thing worked perfectly. I7 7700k was pushing 70 degrees celcius while gaming with a crappy aio cooler and thermal grizzley cryonaut.Used this delid/relid tool with confidence and applied thermal grizzley conductonaut and resealed with automotive sealant. With the same crappy aio cooler my CPU no longer went over 52 celcius while gaming.Then i did a custom loop and now it idles in the 20s and tops out at 42 while gaming but that is a whole other story.The short and simple is...this thing works and is solid. And there is no point doing a custom loop on the i7 7700k until you delid it. Hell...after you delid it you may not even need the custom loop

Product works fine. Was easy to use, machined nicely. More accessories like a wooden scraper for silione adheasive removal that comes with many other kits would be nice. But no real complaints.Used this with thermogrizzly and dropped 8700k temps by 15 degs.

Bought this to use with my 9700K and it does not work. Looks like an excellent tool with good build quality. Don’t purchase for 9th Gen Coffee Lake as it wont work.

Easily deluded. Dropped my temps down about 18c with the change to Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut.

Questo prodotto per il delid è davvero comodo per poter sostituire la pasta del capitano che intel usa ma vorrei chiedere al capoccia della aquacomputer se hanno implementato il controllo qualità ? qui non posso scrivere torpiloqui ma capiamoci! mi è arrivato in una busta di plastica manco fosse un prodotto da 2 euro e ricordo che ne costa quasi 40!!! ma vabbe' l'importante e che funzioni penso io e sopratutto non danneggi la cpu... ecco mai pensiero fu più sbagliato vado ad inserire la cpu nella sede e inserisco la piastra sull' his e vedo che entra con una minima minima difficoltà, non ci faccio caso e vado ad eseguire il delid girando la vite, una volta aperto vado a rimuovere l'his dalla piastra e scopro che mi ha graffiato tutta la superficie laterale perchè come da foto era presente una punta di metallo (probabilmente uno scarto di lavorazione che non è stato limato) e quindi si parte da gennaio e si finisce a dicembre dell'anno prossimo! dopo minuti di rabbia continuo con l'applicazione del metallo liquido e all'applicazione del collante per chiuderlo. Vado ad inserire il tutto e lascio asciugare per 10 minuti, quando vado a togliere la cpu dal tool scopro che non si è incollato perchè c'era un'altro spuntone... li son diventato di fuoco! alla fine dopo tanta pazienza pulisco tutto, vado a limare quei maledetti spuntoni e procedo con l'incollaggio e questa volta funziona. Altra piccola nota, questa schifezza è fatto in materiale plastico e non in metallo come una volta, quindi attenti a non esagere con la forza sulla vite. Per concludere un prodotto che poteva essere top ma il controllo qualità non esiste alla aquacomputer.

Positiv: Das Tool tut was es tun soll und für einen sehr kleinen Aufpreis hat man auch keine längeren Wartezeiten, wie bei anderen Delidding-Tools.Negativ: Die Handhabung war aus folgenden Gründen etwas beschwerlich für mich: Das runde Teil zum Ablösen des Heatspreaders hat sich beim Einsatz stark im Tool verklemmt und ich konnte es nur mit extra Werkzeug wieder zurück drehen und so die CPU befreien. Außerdem sind die Kanten der metallischen Komponenten teilweise überraschend scharf und da sich der Balken zum Wiederaufbringen des Heatspreaders ebenfalls ein wenig verklemmt hatte musste ich auch dort etwas kräftiger zupacken, um ihn wieder heraus zu bekommen. Dabei habe ich mich an Zeigefinger und Daumen geschnitten. Und das nicht zu knapp! Schon ironisch, wenn man bedenkt, dass manche sich das Tool nur kaufen um nicht mit Rasierklingen oder ähnlichem arbeiten zu müssen. ;)

Questo tool per delid permette di fare un operazione molto precisa e veloce senza accorgersene. Sicuramente è un prodotto indicato a chi sa cosa sta facendo. I materiali sono molto validi e l'oggetto si presenta solido. Spedizione rapida con imballaggio minimo ma giusto. Consigliato

Ganz klar für jene gedacht die keine Rasierklinge nutzen möchten um die billige Wärmeleitpaste zu ersetzten.. Tut was es soll... aber ist vom Preis her natürlich überteuert für die einmalige/wenige Nutzung...
