This COMS Battery works in the Dell Inspiron4050. It was easy to install and it stopped the 5 beeping warning sign at start up. This battery is worth the money with a reasonable price.

I needed 3 of these batteries for my Dell Latitude D630 Laptops. All three laptops needed replacement batteries.These batteries worked perfectly. They came fully charged and although the installation in the laptop was difficult due to the design of the laptop, they were the perfect fit and are working well.I would buy from "Strategic Technical Solutions" again for my future needs. Excellent quality battery.

Seems to be fine. I had to trim the shrink wrap opposite the leads a tiny amount get rid of the "ears" so it would fit into spot without force. No idea on longevity, I only just got it.

I used these in some older Dell laptops I had: Latitude E6430 & E7440. Installation was quick and easy. Terminals were the correct polarity already, so I didn't have to mess with changing them around. I cut off a bit of the tough plastic shell with shears and they slid right in. Both laptops seem stable now and keep their CMOS values so far. This is a lot of money for a CR2032 battery, but it sure made the job easy. When I attempted to solder some leads onto a standard CR2032, it failed right away. Hardly worth the effort for a few bucks anyway. Buy this and save time!

I had a laptop in storage for a year and when I took it out and started it cried for a date and time. Every time I pulled the battery the same thing. Classic dead CMOS battery. Even though it is a CR2032, it is made with sticky connections that don't ever cross so there is no short. It is important to know if you want to try to make one of these. Easier and safer to just buy one and this one just works.

The 'CMOS BATTERY FOR DELL LATITUDE D620 D630 D810 D830 by PCRepair " is about a kizillian dollars cheaper than Dell and you don't have to wait 3 weeks to be told that Dell doesn't have your part, your order was cancelled and now you can wait another 2 weeks for your refund. Unfortunately as I write this review the battery is currently not available, hopefully it will be back soon.

My Dell laptop wouldn't boot. It turned out that the clock backup battery was dead. This looked like an exact replacement and it fixed my problem. Based on everything I read, the dead battery shouldn't have prevented booting up but it did. Connecting the battery is simple. Getting to it on my laptop and I expect many other laptops is a PIA. It required taking off the cover back cover (12 tiny screws), disconnecting the main battery, disconnecting and removing the WiFi postage stamp size card, and then finally unplugging the old coin battery and plugging in new one. It would have been much easier if the battery was in an easily accessible socket! And it there was a socket I could have purchased the battery for a fraction of the price at a local drug store or supermarket.

Odd that it's just a CR2032 in a plastic wrap with a custom connector, but there you go. It worked fine and should last until Windows 7 dies and the computer goes with it. Easy to install in this model.
