Best hammock ever. So comfy and versatile. I use ropes and pegs whittled from oak to string it up. The pegs are about 3" long, held in place with a larkshead knot, and the looped ends of the hammock slip over the pegs. The soft cotton ropes (1/2") are about 20' long to accommodate whatever trees or anchor I find. Cotton because they unknot easily (I use a square knot). Once there were no trees, so I tied the ropes around the roof rack on my truck and a telephone pole. Other times I've tied up to large bushes. (I'm a committed hammock camper!) You can tell a quality hammock by counting the threads in the edge weave along the long sides of the hammock - the more the better. This one has ten or so threads in the edge weave. Cotton hammocks do stretch, so be prepared to string it up high, then get in and let it stretch, then sometimes you still have to shorten the ropes. It's best to be able to lay as flat as possible, especially if you're going to sleep in it. Then to store the hammock, I twist from one end, then fold it in half and let it twist on itself, and twist some more until it's twisted into a neat little bundle about the size of a loaf of bread. I'd been using the same hammock for about 20 years, but lost it (and my ropes!), which is why I had to buy another. This is the type to buy. Single. Doubles are fun but not as easy to sleep in.

This thing is awesome! I was unsure which brand to go with on Amazon, but this was a great choice. It has a nice feel and it has great colors, everyone comments on it when they come over. It feels very strong and swings nicely also.EDIT: (A few months after purchase)Ok so this hammock is still awesome, and I have absolutely no complaints about the product itself. Been using it a ton and it still rocks.But a word of warning: Since buying this I have received no less than 6 emails and 3 phone calls from the manufacturer over the course of after 2 months of purchase.. The first few were verifying that I would be using and caring for the product correctly (which, seriously? Theres not much to it..), and the next few were badgering me to make sure I reviewed the product on Amazon (all after I had reviewed it already).I mean, I understand making sure I liked it and wanting to keep up a good rep and such, but several emails would have been plenty.. When you add in several MORE emails, plus actual phone calls, in my book that firmly steps over the line of 'helpful customer service' and into the realm of 'annoying'.Leaving a 5 star rating up (begrudgingly) because the product is really quite good, but if you buy this, just know that you have been warned about their 'vigilant' customer service...

Soo comfy and authentic looking. It was exactly as pictured. And despite the light weight of the hammock; it is surprisingly sturdy. My husband and I are not small people by any means, and it can hold us each... not together.

This hammock is so soft and comfortable. We hang it between two trees (17' apart) that provide shades above it, perfect for an afternoon reading or a nap. Love it!!!

Love it. We had only 11 ft and it still works great. Hang at our desired height based on who will use it.

Wonderful hammock - very comfortable and durable. The colors are amazing and a great addition to the Mexican theme of our back yard.

Received with already a few snags as threadding is thin .It is comfortable tho!
