Excellent entry-level burning laser
For those curious, this is a 1.5-1.6 watt blue burning laser (450nm). It is labeled as class III but is most definitely class IV. Will pop dark colored balloons, burn electrical tape, dark styrofoam, cardboard, light matches, etc. at close range (1m - 2m/1yd - 2yd). The batteries will not last that long at a charge high enough to burn, maybe 10 min total; then it will lose sufficient power to burn (but that's not un-expected). Full charge time for the batteries is 1-2 hours.Obligatory: THIS IS NOT A TOY OR A POINTER. Direct exposure to the beam on the skin will burn, and direct exposure to the beam in the eyes will blind (likely permanently) before you can close your eyes. Indirect exposure to the beam (looking at the point of the laser on a surface) could possibly cause blindness or partial blindness if stared at for too long, avoid looking at the point at close range for more than a couple seconds, or use the provided glasses for protection). This laser is ok for astronomy or very long range use, but let's get real, it's real purpose is as a cool parlor trick. Remember, although owning a laser of this strength is not illegal (in the U.S.), use of a laser of this strength in certain ways is illegal (like pointing toward an aircraft). Research your state and local laws for more information.THIS SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18.

Powerful
Nice laser. This as mentioned by another reviewer is not a toy. I'd definitely wear 👓 that are Included or purchased specifically for lasers of this wavelength. But it's definitely a fun conversation starter. Everything pictured came with this package. Couldn't be happier

Great Laser, but Safety Glasses are Poor
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The laser is five stars, but the "safety glasses" won't even protect your eyes from blue light, let alone a laser. Be sure to get proper safety glasses if using this product.

Not sharp focusing
This laser does not sharp focus to pinpoint objects on any kind of screen, TV, bulletin board, or presentation screen.

10,000K headlights finally have a worthy opponent.
You blind me, I blind you (except, I also use some old stepping-motors with fresh optics that can make these lasers appear downright extraterrestrial and literally engrave patterns "8===Ð" onto cars; oh, also replaced those old windows with OD6+ @190-532nm filtering glass so I don't blind myself, fun little bonus is that tint-darkness testers say these windows are fine despite the true-VTL being lower than 50% LOL). Science. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. My camera died taking those photos😂 See you on the road, 10,000K noobs.

Good laser, bad case and glasses
It’s a good class four burning laser, so five stars on the laser itself. However, the case is very flimsy and the provided safety glasses do not block blue light, so -2 stars for that. The red photo shows what it looks like through the glasses. If the glasses were effective, only a faint orange dot would be visible.
