The Official Horizon Cookbook: Tastes of the Seven Tribes

Amazing recipes that feature more advanced techniques and ingredients than a standard cookbook. The story included was unexpected for me but I absolutely loved reading it and was inspired to re-play the game again! The art in the book is also gorgeous. 12/10 recommend for any horizon fan

I made that delicious Stamina Potion. I used matcha instead of gyokuro. Sencha works too. I made Beanweed Bites twice, thinking I am doing something wrong. I made it for the third time my way, ignoring 2 tsp of salt that recipe listed, to make it, you know, actually edible. I tossed tofu in a bit of cornstarch instead of 1/4 cup that turned everything into a gooey mess initially. I used mirin instead of Shaoxing as I was not able to find this in my neighborhood and I used ancho chile instead of black pepper, as I used what I had on hand. It turned out great. It is nice to know that substitutions work.I honestly hope that there will be no more recipe fixing.Update 8/21/2024I cooked some more... I did not like the taste of Newgrowth Bowls and Greenmarrow on Wheatslice. There was nothing wrong with the recipe per say but it is just that the combination was not appealing to me. I removed honey from the Greenmarrow recipe, which made it taste way better for me. Honey is used frequently but I have found that golden syrup works too. Wheatslice bread is great. Land-God's Libation was disappointing. Finally, Spicy Beanweed Morsels and Salt Bite Special are fantastic! I've changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars. Well done! Very creative!

Amazing book with some great recipes, makes for a perfect gift for any fan of the games

Considering the fact that the game doesn't really display any details on the food items - the authors did an impressive job! I ordered the book in December and it was certainly worth the wait. One little note though: a freeze portion should probably have a hint of an alcohol;-)
