Tink's Neverland: Cosmos' Gateway Paperback – 20 Nov. 2015

Three and a half for this fun sci fi read. If it's something light and sexy with a sci fi twist you enjoy than this book is for you. We essentially have a genius (Cosmos) whose best female friend Tink somehow ends up travelling through a portal he's created and landing on an alien space ship. These aliens have very different ideas about being sexually compatible and there my fellow readers is where the fun begins. Tink our heroine is sweet, sassy and virginal with a personality and confidence that simply beggars belief ! Match her with big, growlyJ'Kar and what ensues is an instant romance with a slight twist that felt a tad predictable. Still Tink is a vibrant personality who certainly shines bright but for this reader the ending felt rushed as if the author is saving things for the next book which is about one of Tinks sisters.

I found this author by accident, my current bank account might regret my find, but i totally don't. i'm going to give a broad review here. as i'm going to add this review to every book of S E Smith i have ever bought, I've got them all now. every book of hers i'm assuming here that S E Smith is a woman (it could be a man!) i read the dragon lords books first and went on from there, i'm only just getting around to putting up a review and because of the amount i books i'm just beginning to realize i had just bought, i don't have the time to write individual ones, i'm not a writer i'm a reader. lolthe fact that i preceded to spend the amount of money i spent on to buy all of her books, should tell you what i think of her/his writing. i just wish i had them all to read again for the first time. :)

This was a really enjoyable read. I loved the main character Tink, she was feisty and her actions had me laughing out loud several times. The story was fast paced and I just couldn’t stop reading to find out what happened next. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Great storyline, funny and believable characters, and hot sex. What do you want more?S.E.Smith is a fantastic writer with an imagination worth every penny she earns. I'm yet to read a weak book by her but I somehow doubt it will be anytime soon.This story, which opens a series, starts on a laugh, continues with giggles and ends grinning broadly. Tink, female character, is funny and full of energy. It's impossible not to smile while reading about her exploits. Those familiar with Smith's oeuvre may recognise similarities with Cara but it's a good point. And even though you know it will have a happy ending you enjoy your journey and still wonder 'how will they get there?'.

I couldn't put this book down, and I immediately bought the second book. I loved the story, the world and the characters were believable, and three dimensional.It is a romance, with a twist, I love paranormal or science fictional action romances, and S E Smith does not disappoint.I admit there are still a few typos as mentioned by the american reviewers, but it wasnt bad enough to put me off. If you like Evangeline Anderson, Autumn Dawn or Eve Langais you will like this author.

I loved this book, it was fun in all the right places!! I didn't disappoint at all. Highly recommended if you want fun and flirty!

How many times can the author get the word "tink" into the text ?? Maybe it was just poor editing but the repeated use of the leads name drove me up the wall.

I enjoyed this story, after a difficult day at work it was a breath of fresh air. The characters are well developed and I really liked the story line

Ms Smith has a great talent for writing a story that blends well with the other worlds she has going on.This is proven again with this book which starts off another series which will hopefully blend into all the others.Whilst some people have said disparaging things about this book I thoroughly enjoyed this new alien race we meet and love the gateway aspect. I can see a lot of fun coming out of this series.We once again are introduced to a wonderful cast of characters.This series revolves around the planet of Baade, a world full of Prime Warriors who are struggling to find females to mate with.By accident Tink activates Cosmos latest invention, a gateway and sees a young man being attacked, she steps through the doorway to save him and this all starts a chain reaction of events that are once again a wonderful read.My only gripe was the horrible senator’s son escaping. Boy I hope he gets his.

Habe das Buch heruntergeladen, nachdem ich bereits Tansys Titan gelesen hatte, das ich sehr gut fand. Im vorliegenden Buch, dem ersten Teil, geht es um Tansys jüngere Schwester, Tink, die aus Versehen mit einem Von ihrem Freund Cosmos entwickelten Portal in einer anderen Galaxie bei Aliens landet. Da sich herausstellt, dass sie die Gefährtin eines der Aliens ist, kommt dieser auf die Erde, um sie zu holen. Da sie jedoch sehr unabhängig ist, die betreffende Alienrasse jedoch aus dominanten Alphatieren besteht, die ihre Frauen unter allen Umständen beschützen wollen, entspinnt sich daraus eine Geschichte, die recht solide erzählt wird und auch teils lustig und spannend ist. Mein Problem dabei war, dass die Protagonistin für mich leider als Mensch nicht nachvollziehbar blieb. Eine kleine fragile Person, die aber mit großgewachsenen Männern kämpft und auch noch Aliens umbringt? Eine Jungfrau, die überraschenderweise keinerlei Scheu hat, mit ihr unbekannten Männern über oralen Sex zu sprechen und a la Meg Ryan auch noch eine Vorführung darüber abzuhalten? Darüber hinaus natürlich mit dem Aussehen eines Models und der Sportlichkeit einer Athletin gesegnet und auch noch Everybodys Darling? Das war alles für mich etwas zu viel. Aber das wird zum Glück durch den Held ausgeglichen, der zugegebenermaßen sehr lecker beschrieben wird und mir auch sympathischer war als die Heldin.Fazit: unterhaltsame Kost für einen regnerischen Nachmittag. Die Folgebände sind besser, den die Autorin gehört für mich zu den besten im Segment der Sci-Fi Romane!

I have read quite a few books from this writer. She writes brilliant sci-fi fantasy stories and has quickly become one of my favourite writers. I love her characters, especially the females which are often strong, feisty with a quick witted humor that is totally likable. The female character `Tink' in this story is no exception.Tink is so lovable that you just want to pick her up and put her in your pocket for safe keeping. My only gripe is that I would've loved to have seen more of Tink's personality traits come out in the story, like her singing and her mechanical abilities. They are mentioned briefly in the story early on but then that is it. That is just a personal preference and in no way detracted from being an excellent story.The male character J'Kar is charismatic but also dominating and stubborn, which I totally adore. You really feel the chemistry between these two and their interactions with each other and other characters creates many memorable and often laughable moments.The secondary characters (the brothers) are well written. I cannot wait to read about their adventures.

My first S E Smith novel - certainly not my last. A joy to read, fun characters introducing a whole new world of aliens & everything that goes with it..... including cultural differences in discussing various activities! A lot of fun.

Loved this book! I loved how all the alien men were so enthralled by Tink. How eager they were for a mate but how clueless they all were about sex and pleasure. So much fun

This first book is the Cosmos’ Gateway series introduces us to a whole new world inhabited by a bunch of alpha warriors with one mind track when it comes to women.So J’Tar didn’t know what hits him when he met Tink, a pint sized woman with an inborn fire as big as her stubbornness.This book even if it deals with some strong themes, is the funniest of all.We are introduced to the Prime Warriors, they are all strong alphas, but their lack of knowledge concerning women is incredible. They see them as weak creatures to be contained and unable to enjoy intercourses with males without some kind of chemical help.Tink is a smart young woman who by accident opens a portal created by her best friend in another world, and never she will be locked nor shielded like she was some fragile breakable girl.This first book is a lot about the sexual education on both sides of these different worlds, which causes a lot of funny sexy moments.

Started rereading and realized that I hadn’t reviewed... I say again... what a great series, writing is excellent, characters are awesome.

OMG what a story. I couldn't put it down. Thank you so much for being so brilliant a writer. I so loved Tink's personality and how,she disrupts the whole story. Highly recommended and can't wait to read more in book 2.

Tink is a bundle of independent energy. J'kar and his people are forever changed. This story was fun and sexy.

Génial c'est le seul mot qui me vient à l'esprit. Cette série débute sur les chapeaux de roues. Tout commence avec une expérience qui aboutit à une porte donnant sur un autre monde. De là, en découle un choc des cultures entre un Alien sexy et une terrienne très dynamique et pleine d'humour ! J'ai dévoré ce livre. Vivement la suite !

Loved it. Second series I've tried. This one is better than the first. (Kassis series). Just enough sexiness, great plots, fun and intelligent. Not too much violence. Stumbled on a great series. Great escape! Thanks.

LOVE S.E. SMITH! I've read everything she has written and she is just brilliant. This is another great series by an amazing author.

Very good with much humor. And I can't wait to read the second or third or even forth when each of them come out !
