Great product!!
The engine warning light came on my Mercedes right before a long trip with the family, I couldn’t risk breaking down with a 6 month old baby but the garage couldn’t fit me in at such short notice. I ordered CarDr and was able to confirm the very next morning that it was just an Oxygen sensor that was causing the problem, a quick check with the garage confirmed this wasn’t going to cause the car to fail immediately so I was safe to drive it! It gave me piece of mind and now knowing what the problem was I knew the garage wouldn’t rip me off when I took it in, at this price everyone should own one of these!! Amazing product ☺

A great tool. Every car owner should have one.
A very useful tool and simple to use. It took hardly any time at all to get setup and find faults. I can save myself a load of money now and get things done myself.

Awful, flipin awful!
Bought this when my “normal” cabled OBM2 scanner died. Thought it would be easier to store and use - huh!Bought Car Dr as it says it works with Apple iPhone iOS.Now I’m computer savvy, having built my own etc, have latest iPhone and iOS, used OBD for 7yrs plus on many many cars.It states you just plug in and open app...The instructions for this send you around in circles, I tried the online video, web instructions and app instructions, without luck for over 2 hours. No green light came on on unit, the WiFi wouldn’t connect if you entered the details manually (the instructions state to manually enter details) it just said no internet, if you did connect via auto settings you only got as far as the app menu setting page, before the instructions are totally different than the menu presented to you in the video and on written instructions.Using common sense (if you made it that far without a breakdown) the WiFi would either kick you off or it would scan endlessly in a loop never giving you results.Tried without 4G, Mobile data, tried typing in IP address, tried on auto IP, tried on 2 different iPhones. Nothing worked, at best it flashed through the “scan” in a loop never presenting results, never gave general info on car (before scan) at worst it came up with no WiFi.After 2 hours, 2 adults, 2 phones & 2 cars it got packaged up to return before it got flung somewhere far far away.Save your money, time and sanity - buy a standard cabled one!

Not as good as I was expecting
I liked the idea of what the car dr was meant to do , but unfortunately it was not like it shows in video , to me was a waste of money

Worth its weight to pick up fault codes and clear them
Got this as a mate had one and read cylinder 1 and 2 misfire and various other faults cleared all once sort problem as well as real time info on the car which is handy if you wanted to know as well as giving you battery voltage, temperature, revs and so on. Very good bit of kit

Diagnostics
Very impressed works as advertised, Father in Law had trouble with his Rav4 took it to Toyota they found a gearbox fault with two codes. When he brought it home because they could not fix it I tested the Car Dr OBD2 and it came up with the same fault codes and what parts the codes reffered to great little gadget well worth the money

Dissapointing
Connected easily,Didn’t diagnose fault. Came up with no fault codes despite car having a fault. Also unclear which all to download, pictures don’t match the name of the app on app store
