Plasplugs Sscp558 Thermal Block Fixings x40 with Drill Bit & Driver

These are the only fixing I've found that does not work loose in thermal block. BUT, you have to be very gentle with them when fitting, you must use the exact size of drill(7mm) and you must screw them in until just tight. Then, when screwing the screw, you must stop as soon as it's tight, anything more will just loosen the fixing. But when you get it right they are solid and stay solid (well, so far - about 3 years).They can be used in ordinary brick/block too but not as screw-ins, you just tap them in to an 8mm hole. They are not as good as regular rawl-plugs for that purpose, and much more expensive, so not recommended. Use them as intended and they work fine.

Glad I got them, drilling into the thermal blocks was like drilling intp butter, not sure how normal wallplugs souls have coped. The fact that they come with a drill and application bit made it very easy.

Absolute waster of money. It is made of too weak plastic material which breaks before you could screw it into the wall. The special tool they give you to screw it in is so useless it twisted when trying to drive the second plug into the wall.

Did not do the job .Only hung a spade up and the plasplug came out off he wall . Yes I followed all the instruction which came on the packaging .

Utterly useless. Tool to insert plugs cracked on the second use before the plug was even half way in.Plugs won't go in without the tool because they just twist or compress.

These may work if you can see the blocks or are lucky enough not to drill into the mortar, if you do, they are hopeless, the tool broke on the first hole.Back to old fashioned wall plugs.
