Pretty, but doesn't predict weather
The"flakes" in the water never change, regardless of the weather. They just sit on the bottom of the glass. It's a pretty table top/desk decoration. But it doesn't actually do anything.

Not worth the money.
It is pretty but not effective. I wanted to give it as a gift so we took it out and let it sit for a couple weeks, to see how it worked. It doesn't. There is never any change in the crystals. It has become a running joke for our family.

It's pretty.
I do like it, but it doesn't really work. I think our home is too well controlled for it to measure the weather. It doesn't have as many crystals in it as the picture shows. But it is really a pretty piece of art and I still like it. Every once in a while, the crystals move and I'm surprised that it does what it's supposed to, but not often.

Wonderful
Stinks when it is accidentally broke! Literally for days my room stank! Hard to put into words the smell but interesting, that’s all I can say. Totally not the manufacturers fault for the break. Kids, you know! Glasses durability, I should have known better 🙄🥰

Don't be dumb...
Attractive and well made. A very nice piece for my office. I don't normally leave product reviews, but just had to chime in here. I'm really getting a kick out of all the 1 star reviews because their storm glass "doesn't work". What exactly were you expecting, your very own meteorologist to predict the weather for you? 30 seconds with a Google search bar (or the application of a tiny bit of common sense) would have told you that the state of the storm glass changes in response to, and ONLY in response to, changes in temperature. It has absolutely nothing to do with the weather. Moreover, if you have yours sitting on a table in your house or office, with the thermostat set to 72 year round, don't expect a lot to happen. Try setting it in a window sill where you at least get a small variation in temperature and the possibility of some sunlight. If you really want to see changes day-to-day put it outside. I have no idea at what temperature the fluid inside might freeze, so use some common sense, and don't blame me if you break your storm glass. So, in short, don't be dumb. Don't expect weather predictions, but DO expect a beautiful and nicely made decoration/conversation piece/piece of art.
