The bits still look great after 15 or so holes
I got this to cut a series of 2" holes through 1/8" tough steel plate, using a handheld power drill in an awkward location. It took a while to cut (using plenty of cutting oil and going slowly) but made consistent, clean holes time after time. The bits still look great after 15 or so holes. The pilot drill cuts quickly (although I found it was even faster if I first drilled a 1/8" guide hole). The rim that keeps the bit from punching all the way through the hole is *genius* - makes it way easier to finish the cut, because you don't have to worry about the bit plunging through and damaging whatever's behind your hole. My only complaint is that the spring that ejects the blank is pretty strong, and you're pushing against it the whole time in order to hold the bit against the cut, which is extra work.

Very nice set
So you're looking at these thinking if it's worth the money. Well it depends. I've used multiple different sets over the years. This set is very nice and works beautiful. The Ideal set I had, it was nice and worked beautiful. So what makes this better? I find the overall price. With this set you can replace each individual piece. Making for a cheaper replacement. As with the Ideal set you have to buy the whole piece making it cost more. So if you're manly having a carbide cutter for occasional use I'd lean towards a cheap set but a full time commercial/industrial electrician I'd say get it.The bigger sizes of the carbide hole saws or any hole saw really, seem to go slow and be very hard on the drill. I'd say after 2" go for the slug buster.

Work great, I had my old set of three for 5 years
I use it often to drill enclosures out.

Good teeth. Extra eager quick release. Shallow cuts.
High QualityShallow Cut DepthAnnoying quick release spins hole-saw off of hub and sends it face first to the ground if you spin the drill fast and stop abruptly.Very high quality yet very shallow cutting depth, which I guess is expected but I end up cutting wood here and there so these are not for anything over 1/4" in thickness I'd say. Downside is quick-release is too loose.

Commercial electric ninja here .
I use these on high speed all the time, and I never use ky yelly with them, and they just keep eating. I let my co friends use them as well and I say , “ nahhhh dog, go wide open .” And they do and we get the job done that much quickly er. These are worth every penny, butttttttttttt be careful not to loose them because they will shoot off the arbor if you are joshing around with your drill and not drilling out holes like you haught to be doin. I’ve easily drilled close to a hundred holes with the 3/4 and 1/2 “ and haven’t needed to replace nothing but the pilot bit from time to time.

quality product
We install fire suppression systems in commercial kitchen hoods and have to drill several holes in stainless steel. This hole saw kit from GreenLee Last for several installs before needing to be replaced. The quick connect feature works flawlessly changing out different size holesaws in seconds. I would highly recommend this kit. It is pricy but it pays for itself in longevity and easy of use.
