Best Sketchbook Ever!
Honestly this has to be one of the best Sketchbooks I have ever owned. First of all the weight/ strength of each pages are great they handle Ink, acrylic paint, watercolors, alcohol markers, pens, oil pastels, and sharpies! I've thrown my entire collection of art supplies all in one book has been the best way to break out of a recent art funk. The color of the toned paper has brought out a better appreciation for the lighter colored pencils I have been under appreciating on the white and cream papers I've used previously. It's such an amazing feeling to be able to enjoy art again with this sketchbook! The size isn't too big or too small, the amount of 64 pages for 11 bucks is very reasonable for such a well known brand, the covers are hardy and handled sicker blasting with multiple light Modpod coatings. It fits neatly in my bag I take everywhere and it's eye catching yet nothing too gawty with the cool grey tones. 10/10 I am for sure going to be buying these again! If you're thinking about it or not sure that the colored pages will hinder you just do yourself a favor and try. Try it and see how the colors and values just pop with the toned paper. Canson is one of the bigger brands that I wish I had tried sooner when I was starting out with painting and markers do to the paper being so durable. I'm so happy to say this notebook is the same in the ways of the paper not ripping or pilling with the binding staying very in tack too. You can't really go wrong with it the price mark is amazing too! I've spent a lot of money on different sketchbooks that promised to do what this one does and couldn't dream of competing with the durable paper and bindings. Just give this one a try first 👀💛 I'm pretty sure you won't regret it.

Nice new option for illustrated journaling
The paper is nice and really thick, excellent for fountain pen ink - no bleeding at all. Paper is bright white. Like others, my cover is messed up with some odd smudging, but otherwise, excellent find.

Great Find
I got this through another YouTube artist and I am so glad I did. This little book is quite good. I love that it has a little pocket. I am truly amazed by this graduate line as I think some of the papers work better than the artist line.

Great paper
Absolutely adore the paper in these sketchbooks. I got the grey and loved it and came back to get another grey and the white and tan. The tan is more of an off white then what I would consider “toned tan” when it comes to sketching with a mid tone but the paper has taken everything I’ve thrown at it including alcohol markers, watercolor, ink, and various mixed media

Exactly as expected
I really like this hard bound art journal from Canson. I own some other products from this company and have always been satisfied.I did have a couple of small issues with this pad that caused me to remove a star - The book had dirty fingerprints and marks on the back and a little bit on the front. I was able to get most of that off with a damp microfiber cloth thankfully. One corner was dented in transit since it shipped loose in a box with no protection. However, that doesn't seem to be affecting the inside of the book or how it opens and closes. Now, the art journal itself is fantastic. I am doing some art therapy prompts nearly daily, these include a variety of art projects from writing, painting, drawing, photo collage, and more. I wanted this journal because it's a great size for all of my projects, it's has multi-media paper, and it also is a good method for me to keep them together in one place.I am loving the use of this journal. So far, I have used this for a writing project, a drawing project with colored pencils, and a watercolor project. This paper has performed very well. Since I was most concerned with how this would hold up with watercolor, I will comment on that project. This paper is 200 gram weight, I usually use 400 gram for watercolors. I decided to do my project in a way that used a little less water. This turned out well too. I didn't get any bleed through to the other side of the paper or to the next sheet of paper even though I did cover the entire sheet of paper with watercolor. Of course, the paper curled up some on the outer corners and edge. I used a hair dryer on low to complete drying the paper at the end (a trick I learned in an art class once) and the corners mostly flattened themselves out. I closed the book and placed the elastic around the end. The next day I opened my journal to check and the page is nearly flat (about as good as it ever is with watercolors :). I am pleased.I do like the elastic that holds the journal closed, it's so easy to pull it off or on. It's built into the journal so it won't ever get lost. These journals are also great for travel. They are compact and easy to bring along anywhere.I will definitely continue to purchase Canson art journal books. I love them and highly recommend.

Impressed, and excited to use
First glance very impressed, paper seems thick/durable and able to handle heavy paint. I love the shade of grey it is and think other colors will really pop on it. I added a pic of my test swatches for the mediums I use most. Im now tempted to buy the toned and white one now, hoping it'll replace my moleskine, which this is pretty close to in size, I belive its slightly wider, I'll update if my opinion changes with more use

Love it
It is well made. Good thick paper for water coloring. Only thing is that it does not lay flat completely. But love it for painting while traveling.
