Many, many animals go through my house, some that stay part of my family and some I just foster and find a home for, and I decided to start taking paw prints of all the animals that impact my life. For my current family pets, I wanted paw prints from when they are alive, not just the paw prints that vets usually take after euthanasia. I wanted a LIVING representation of the animals I love, and I plan to turn it into a tattoo collage of paw prints on my leg. This kit is easy to use though it takes a little finagling and getting used to. I found that if you hold your pets paw against it, it doesn’t come out as clear as we put more pressure on the fur between toe pads. It’s easiest if you can get your pet to stand on the ink pad so their natural weight goes on their toe pads. In my picture, the ones with red arrows pointing at them are when I coerced my pets to stand on it. Percy is an 8 lb dog, Wednesday is a 5 lb cat, and Grog is a 60 lb dog. I also have a 100 lb dog but her paws are too big for this kit. I’d say this is good for 60 lb dogs or less, MAYBE heavier but it depends on the size of your dog’s paws. The ink pad is SMALLER than the pages given! So don’t look at the page and think it can fit the paw of a giant dog. Clearly it does better with more weight, so lighter animals paws won’t show up as well. You can get multiple uses out of one ink pad, but basically the ink is evenly spread on a thin plastic sheet reminiscent of cling wrap. So when you take a paw print, ink comes off. I’m including a picture to show how you can see the ink after taking a paw print. Honestly, this is pretty good at taking paw prints. It’s not great, but I’m still giving this product 5 stars for now as I haven’t tried other products to compare it to and it got the job done! I can always have the tattoo artist modify light paw prints to make them higher contrast and remove fur between toe pads if I want. Very happy with my purchase.

We used these for our dogs paw prints. They worked nicely. It does take a long time for the ink to dry on the paper.

I bought this product to get my dog’s paw print for christmas cards without the mess. Is it easier to use than regular ink? YES! Does it dry like they said in “about two hours”? ABSOLUTELY NOT. It’s now been almost 24 hours since I made the prints and they are still not completely dry. You do get multiple uses out of just one of the ink pads, so that is a bonus. But, the dry time is totally misleading. All in all, if you’re not on a time crunch and you have a stubborn pup, then they are worth the money. I will probably invest in some clear coat spray to make sure the ink doesn’t transfer.

These work really well once you get the hang of it the only thing you really have to make sure you do is get the right side down, which is clearly marked as long as you’re paying attention Best way I found to use this product is to have my Dog Sit. I put the ink pad on top of what I want him to paw print and then while he is sitting, I take his foot push it straight down put slight pressure and then pick it straight back up before moving the item out from underneath and then taking the print pad off. We have Paul printed his children’s book as well as cards and other items and have had a lot of fun and a lot of success with very few issues other than the occasional smudge which is not the product’s fault it’s usually the dog moving or me not grabbing it and my hand goes down a little bit and gets it

Bought these to save paw prints for my pets. I have a 19 yr old cat and made sure I did get paws first. This product was easy to use and can actually be used more than once

I realise now that the picture of the product is accurate however the name of the product lead me to believe there was the possibility for 8 prints. There are only 2 printpads included and each use diminished the quality of the imprint. However it is easy to use and safe for the baby's skin.
