This is a detailed look at the basics of planting, growing, and eating 32 different commonly grown culinary herbs and edible flowers (22 herbs, 10 flowers). Each herb or flower covered in this book has a four-page chapter that consists of beautiful and very detailed illustrations (including a full-page illustration for each plant), taste of the plant, when to plant it, when to harvest, how to plant it, what it does best planted with, what foods it goes best in, what you can substitute it with in cooking, and the ways in which it can be eaten. The book also has a very good index that includes both the common names and Latin names of plants.I greatly enjoyed this book, and would highly reccommend it to anybody interested in culinary herbs and flowers.
