First, I want to start this review by saying, I do not believe in shocking pets as a method of training. I do not do it and I never will. This is just my opinion and one that I hold in training my own pups. With that said, I bought this device for the vibrate feature. I wanted to try it out with my Jack Russell who through-hikes with me, but has been having some difficulty with recall recently after an incident involving a very brave raccoon. My favorite thing about this collar is that you can adjust the levels of the shock, the beep, and the vibrate feature to whatever level you want them at. Because I do not shock my dog, I can set the shop to zero and even if I accidentally press the button it will not shock him. That’s my favorite thing about this collar. I was worried I was going to have to tape or mark the button in someway, but I’m glad I don’t have to do that I just set it to zero and I don’t worry about accidentally shocking him.I have another one of these collars, so this is my second of this brand. This one is smaller and advertised as waterproof which is the reason I purchased this one. My little Jack enjoys a lark through streams we pass on our outings and I worried that something might go wrong and shock him with the other. This gives me more peace of mind there.

This has been a godsend! Our new puppy was being so destructive and have been attempting to train her for a month now. We had a dog previously for 15 years who had passed away and had trained her from a puppy. So we knew what we were doing as far as training. Although I have never been a fan of a shock collar on a dog....we were at our wits end with our new puppy. She was being so destructive and just not listening at all. We purchased this as a last resort hoping it would help. We are on day 2 and it's been a complete turn around for her. We've only had to use the shock part once.....she knows already that once it beeps (the warning) and told NO means to stop immediately. She is not being destructive at all anymore. We don't plan on using this long term because it's not a long term solution. But for now......we have a puppy that is happy, playful, and a joy to be around getting lots of praise. I would definitely recommend this product.

Very effective and non-tortuous dog training collar! This is a very easy to set up and use training collar currently being used on my mother's 10 lb Maltese. That being said it works on smaller dogs without sending too powerful of a shock or vibration. We have found the "beeping"/alarm feature to be useless due to our dogs incredibly developed selective-hearing ( he already constantly hears loud beeping from the TV. cell, and other devices.) Set-up is simple enough, although some directions and images explaining exactly how the actual device block which emits the sounds/vibrations/shock is best fitted but was simple enough through trial and error. Seriously, one fantastic investment!!! Everything about this is perfect! Really does fit any size dog. The sound option is great for first warning, vibration is also great for last warning! Barely have had to use the static option, and at level one is just enough to get his attention!! Re-direction is the name of the game, and this collar does just that and perfectly! Before I could use this on my pooch, I tried it on myself. This way I know exactly what he would feel. Trust that level one, is ENOUGH. It doesn't hurt, but definitely startled him enough to drop the bad habit I had to correct. Ever seen a what the heck was that and where did it come from look on a dog? Too funny! Keep the remote away from children tho!

This product is good for 30 bucks but I have some issues with it. First, the lowest shock function is WAY too high for my 60-pound dog. Makes her yipe and that's not how to train your dog. The vibrate function is good though so I just stick to that. It's super easy to switch between the beep, vibrate, and shock modes. I wish the remote was better quality though. The on/off button sticks sometimes and I don't like how it goes into sleep mode after no activity for ONLY 2 MINUTES. Wish there was a higher quality version of this out there with LOWER settings for the shock function. I do like the size of the collar though. The battery pack is very small and not bulky at all which is nice. That being said the battery only lasts 2 to 3 days. But for thirty bucks this is hard to beat.
