I purchased window shade for black out that work nicely- they stop extending and/or retracting when your hand stops. And , I installed the two pulleys at at the top and bottom of the large window that is block by a work bench. I put a strong cord around the pulleys and now I can use the string that is attached to the shade handle to raise and lower the shade without bend under the bench to reach the bottom ledge of the window which is about 8” from floor level. The pulleys are a little bigger than I had imagined but acceptable considering how well they serve the purpose. I would also add that these pulleys are medium-heavy duty, and I imagine one could use them for clothes lines with 1/4” rope or other line or cable material. The quality is excellent and they do not squeak or wobble. Screws are included with the package but they’re longer- again probably because they are meant for a heavier use case. I used smaller wood screws 3/4” long for the window sill. They move easily and are a great value for the quality and versatility.

Well made and heavy duty.

I'm lazy so I hooked up a series of pulleys so I can shut my bedroom door without having to get out of bed because people love coming in and not shutting the door when they leave even though it was shut when they walked in!! But anyways product works, door shuts, the pulleys could use some oil as they do squeak alot.

These pulley blocks are quite exceptional. They are very durable and perfect for applications requiring a small solution for hanging items overhead using light cord. Five-fifty cord is what I use. I was not particularly impressed with the fasteners that came with them but, they may work for you.

used them for a rope guidance project above the ceiling to lift a center piece.

They are a little bigger than I thought with really long screws but they should do the work with some different screws.
