UPDATE Went ahead and bought the 8 channel version and its been nothing but a headache. 2 of the 4 cameras from the original 4 channel system refuse to stay connected to the DVR nothing but poor signals on both and they worked just fine before.AFTER having to take all 4 down to pair with the new box (not happy about that either--should be some simpler way to do that) and the mouse showed up broken for the cherry on top of this whole fiasco.Sorry to say this garbage is getting boxed up and sent back and now I'm stuck with four cameras that probably won't work with another brand with 8 channels.UPDATE #2 good luck 'saving' an incident for further review to a flash drive GARBAGE

I bought the 4 camera package from Cromroc on Black Friday. Relatively easy to install. The most difficult thing is learning how to place your cameras in that it can be run as a wireless system. The trick I found is spacing your cameras relatively equal distance apart. You have to also work with the sensitivity settings for each camera. They are very sensitive. If you dial it down to 20-30%, things such as insects and raindrops will not set off motion detection as much. The app which work with the system works well- IPPro 3. Push notifications are sent to your phone when there is motion detection as well as being able to see a live feed at any time. I utilize a 3 TB SATA drive which provides plenty of space for continuous recording. I am curious as to how they stand up over time. They appear to be built very well for both outdoor and indoor use.

I found it very easy to connect the cameras wirelessly to the NVR- the biggest challenge was getting power in the right place for the cameras, and I'm still struggling to get a good signal on one, but I think that's a placement issue and not the fault of the system.Either it wasn't disclosed, or I didn't notice, but you must connect a monitor to the NVR to setup the system and to perform any control of the system. All you can do online (phone or pc) is playback video.The NVR must be physically connected to your router. Another surprise. This limited where I could place the router, hence my connection issues.I'm still getting tons of "false alarms" but that may be typical of all systems of this type. I had some limited success with configuring the motion detection field of motion, but I don't see any difference when I change the sensitivity. There don't appear to be any explanations of sensitivity and trigger duration settings, but I also haven't checked the web for any.

Two of the stopped working within 2 days (it rained). Cameras are not directly in rain.

The app ip pro 3 doesnt work. Look it up in the app store its filled with terrible reviews. Tried troubleshooting for hours and I could not view my feed remotely

This is Very Heavy Duty Camera. More than I expect it. Night Vision is far the best I ever had. Easy to install and Great reception & Great quality.You can only contact Tech support by email but, They will reply you ASAP. 1 day with How TO..Manual said to install IP pro But, use FRONT CLOUD APP this is much easy to install and works perfect.

Couldn’t use because the monitor didn’t come with the cameras

Picked this system up a few days ago to replace some IP cameras that I have been fighting to get to work right for the past year or more, and so far I am glad I did. This system was a breeze to install, cameras work great and so far no disconnect issues. I really like the email notification feature. Getting an email with a picture is awesome. I wished that it worked with Alexa but that is not an issue as I have a full time 32 inch monitor connected, so don't need to view the output any other way anyway. The only problem I had to deal with was, the mouse didn't work and really they should include a wireless mouse rather than wired. This was not an issue for me though, I just used a spare wireless mouse I had and it works great... I hate wired mice anyway so no big deal. All in all this was a great investment, at least so far anyway, and I highly recommend this system if you need good security coverage for a reasonable price.
