BioGenesis Intestinal Repair Complex Fine Powder, 160 Gram

I have battled GI symptoms for years, as I'm sure many of you reading this review have. I've tried all manner of probiotics, diets and other things, but never have received the relief I sought. But right now, I'm doing better and I attribute it to the combination of this product (twice a day, morning and afternoon, away from food), Dr. Ohhira's fermented probiotics (1 in the morning and 1 at bedtime) and taking 2 OrthoMolecular OrthoBiotic probiotic capsules at bedtime. I've ordered this BioGenesis product multiple times and have no intention of stopping it. My doctor is the one who turned me on to Intestinal Repair Complex and I'm glad she did.

The product I received yesterday was in a container completely different to the one pictured and was contaminated with dead insects that look like small or baby moths and some other dodgy bits that didn't belong there that could be insect eggs and/or tiny dead insects. I have contacted amazon about this, as well as the real manufacturer and another one that is mentioned on the label that may not be legitimate. I opened the container this morning, put 2 tsps into a clean, empty glass and stirred in filtered water, which is when I saw the dead insects floating around in it. I fished them out and put them onto a paper plate. I strongly suspect this is a bogus product and that the real manufacturer is probably not responsible for this because I've used it in the past and had no such issues and back then it also came in the real container that is pictured here as I'm writing this, but I want to warn other people about this. I am attaching photos. I would like to name the people I bought it from, but if I do, I think amazon won't post this. It was fulfilled by amazon, though.

I'm a huge fan of this product and make sure to always have some around the house. I even carry a serving size baggie of it in my purse for just in case. It's a mixture of herbs that have healing/soothing qualities for the intestinal tract. You can also get it in capsule form, if you can't tolerate the taste. However, I mix it in with a small amount (about 1/4 cup) of juice and can get it down easily that way.Another great product for intestinal pain/spasming is  Metagenics - Intesol 60 softgels  These two products are my "go to" for IBS type pain. Of course, if the pain is new to you, sharp, intense, and focused rather than diffuse (spread around) you need to see a licensed healthcare provider right away.

I'm giving this 3 stars as, honestly, I can't tell if it's working or not (and by "working" I mean healing my gut lining/helping with my digestive issues). As far as the taste, it's fine. I take the recommended dosage every morning on an empty stomach.

Only tried 1 bottle of this, stomach issues continued while taking it. I started taking Zantac 75 and started feeling better right away. Perhaps the BioGenesis worked as well as the Zantac but as of right now I have no issues.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease a few months ago, and this has been the only product that has helped keep my symptoms and flare ups under control. I mix 2 teaspoons with my favorite juice in the morning (mix in really well and wait a few minutes and the taste of the powder is nearly 100% masked!) and in the evening and it works wonders! I was beginning to think I would have to be put on imunosuppresant drugs for my disease, but with this product, there is no need!

Wish the formula was like the old formula. I absolutely love this to help with any tummy upset but liked the old flavor better.

Probably really good for you, but tastes horrible 🤢Buy the pill version.
