Hardly worth the effort!
While this book has a few unusual pictures of a man who introduced himself "Le Grande Fromage" during the Serious Moonlight tour, this does not in any way qualify as "A Life in Pictures". There is far too much text (and, No, I did not read it) and not nearly enough representation of the many changes our hero has displayed in the last 50 years. There are many other excellent, COLORFUL books on this marvelous subject. Unless you are like me, a die hard fan since 1972, you can easily skip this one.

David Bowie A Life in Pictures
A great book about Mr Bowie. Well put together with numerous photos of Bowie by various well known photographers. The book takes you through his early years, school photos prior to changing from Jones to Bowie. His early bands, Ziggy Stardust days, Diamond Dogs, Bowie in the movies and the Changes he went through always striving for something different. Chris Welch writes and paints a picture of the ever changing Bowie. Any book that has to do with music, look for Chris Welch always a constructive writer. A fantastic book to have after the recent sad news of Bowie's passing. A sad loss to all Bowie fans and a huge loss to music, we'll never see another talent like that. This book will be a memento to the ever changing Bowie.
