I ordered this knife primarily because I am a scrimshaw artist, and I thought that the white bone scales of the folder would be an excellent canvas for my art. It was a bit of a whim, since I already have several pocket knives that I have designed, but I was not prepared for the amazing impact of the Damascus blade. The blade is razor sharp, and the knife is solidly made with nary a wiggle. Now I'd better make sure that my art equals the beauty of the blade!

I gave this as a gift and the recipient loved it. It arrived razor sharp and had smooth hinge action. It was covered in an oil, which I wiped off before gift-wrapping. I don't know much about Damascus steel, but this appeared to be of good quality, especially for the price.
