Restored a favorite writing pen

I purchased these refills with the anticipation of 100% satisfaction. What I found was four of the six refills actually worked. With one of the four remaining refills now beginning to skip. What I was able fo find out and what they will not tell you is that the ink used does not write on certain surfaces. And I'm not talking unique surfaces, I am referring to normal paper. Notably high-grade papers. Probably why they don't write or skip. Two of my pens for which these refills were purchased, they did not fit precisely. For what reason, I do not know other than the end was out of alignment. They just didn't fit correctly with the tip just barely showing. To get them to fit I had to push the cap end down. Not all needed this adjustment, but I was surprised that these two did. Feel good about getting six refills but don't be shocked when one or two fail.
