Bob Books Collection 2 Advancing Beginners and Word Families (Boxed Set)

My son is 5 and LOVES these books. He loved the first collection so much, we had to buy the second and he loves this just as much. We even bought the third! He truly enjoys reading. It’s so wonderful to watch him light up when he pronounces all these words. The collections do such a great job of really building from the ground up and therefore giving a child a confidence in reading. BOB Books are the way to go!

Collection 1 was life changing and collection 2 was the perfect step up! The hand written note and the books wrapped up was really sweet! My 6 year old and my other son who is autistic have learned so much from these books!

My son has read the first three books immediately upon us opening this set. He loves to read to his newborn brother and that's how he's been "bonding" since his brother was in utero. Thanks to bobs books he's been able to share his love of books!

These books are awesome to teach a preschooler/ kindergartener to read with. You can not go wrong with these!

I have to say, If I were a kid I would be so bored with this. Isn't Alice, Jerry and Spot much better? My son disagrees with me and said these books are the BEST thing I have ever gotten for his 4 - 5yr. old son. These books seem to be in many of the Montessori schools and public schools. Anyway, it has been the first step (after learning letter sounds), to show him how to read.

My son is in 1st grad and snuggles with reading. These books are a life saver. Please note that this specific collection is several books of multiple levels. My son blew through them and is ready for collection 3

I thought this was a used set, but it was actually new and still wrapped in the plastic, a nice surprise! We love Bob books, and they have helped both our kids learn to read!

After my son finished Collection 1 (Set 1 + half of Set 2), we found Collection 2 (other half of Set 2 + Set 3) here on Amazon. The "Collections" were apparently sold at Costco, and I'm not sure they are even available anymore. They come with extra goodies, like stickers and a door hanger, that you do not find in the regular sets, and they are also a larger format. The large size is perfect for the beginning reader. I think the print in the small sets is too small. Collection 2 was the perfect next step after completing Collection 1, and by the time he was finished these books, he had a very good basic grasp of reading. We did buy Set 4 after this, but he lost interest, in favour of more interesting and colourful readers, and "real" story books. The BOB Books are great for early mastery of reading, but they do become bland and boring once a child has achieved some basic ability.

Must buy for all parents starting their kid to teach reading.
