Watercolour Workshop: Projects And Interpretations

I am delighted with this purchase. So many great techniques that produce interesting interpretations of nature. I am so inspired to start painting. Highly recommended for those who want the freedom to create images that are personal and provocative.

If you know little or a lot about watercolor media, this book will give you lots of information, how-to-do-it, lots of interesting ideas about subject matter, and covers other media to use with watercolor as well. Very well written and lots of color examples, some from start to finish.

The book is visually exciting and the text reads well and says enough to follow. I liked hearing the artist's way of experiencing nature and how it affects her art, the colors, textures and imagination. I also purchased her Creativity through Nature. My love of nature connects with both of these books. I appreciate being inspired to adapt some methods into my work and just overall enjoy what happens. If you love the outdoors and see possibilities in everything out there, you will like this book.

I liked the author’s style of writing and presenting ideas for using her techniques. My only complaint isn’t about the book itself but the fact that I bought it in a Kindle edition and I don’t fine it easy to flip back and forth when looking for something I want to check and the pictures are too small to appreciate on my phone. I like it enough though to buy it again in book form.

This is a lovely book full of photos of Ms. Blockley's wonderful paintings. There are several projects with generalized instructions. The book definitely lacks specifics about how to achieve results shown. Despite that deficiency, it is worth purchasing. It will provide plenty of inspiration and is definitely a catalyst for creativity.

Book is in great condition and I’m happy to have it, just DID NOT expect to find a goodwill sticker on a book I paid $18+ for on Amazon. Smh. Well, I guess I just wish I’d found it at goodwill. Lol

In diesem Buch sind viele schöne Anregungen zu finden ohne die langweiligen und immer wiederkehrenden, langatmigen Einführungen in Farben, Pinsel und Papierlehre. Die gibt es zwar auch aber ein Hauch von Poesie begleitet die gestalteten Werke und anregenden Möglichkeiten der Gestaltung. Wirklich sehr schön gemacht.

Excellent book. Beautifully illustrated. Several projects (lessons). Filled with helpful information. Probably not suitable for beginners.
