Verbal Skills 101: Ten Ways To Supercharge Your Verbal Abilities Paperback – February 7, 2017

Verbal Skills 101 was a fairly short book, but it packed a lot of value into a short read. Short, concise, and to the point. For each of the ten skills, the author provides examples of each skill. Enough to whet my appetite to learn more about certain skills. In particular, for me it is metaphoric speaking. All in all, the book left me with much more awareness of the things I need to focus on to improve my verbal skills.

This ebook gave me something to look forward to the course of mastering my fear of getting into a real conversation of fun and enjoyment without being self conscious about it.

This book reads like it was ripped off a powerpoint slide on google search. Absolute trash.

I was given a copy of Verbal 101 by the author and was amazed at the depth in which he explains how normal conversations can be affected through minimal and intricate but subtle details such as your emotions, body language, how people talk in frames. Overall an amazing read and great for motivation too. Good witty comebacks

This book was great and very concise. However, almost too concise. I was hoping for something with more depth, not just a quick overview of principles. But, the ten ways given are still great places to start and one could use them to expound more through other sources.

As was mentioned by others, this book is really a sales tool in order to solicit business for the author's publications. That being said, I found that there were a lot of good tips, especially if you take the advice as a starter and build on it. The author covered many topics and gave some good tips to consider and follow. If you take the time to review the tips, do some independent research, perhaps buy some of the author's other materials, and PRACTICE what is suggested - I think you'll find this book to be a good value.Definitely serves as a good foundation to build upon, as you work your way towards a more fluent, descriptive, and meaningful arsenal of discussion/negotiation skills.

An excellent introduction to the 10 fundamental verbal techniques available. Each technique is summarised and recommendations to the author's other books are provided for further study. (The review was done on a complimentary e copy of the book)

Don't buy this book. It's just a sales letter for his courses. Each chapter introduces a topic for a few paragraphs and then recommends one of his course for more info.
