MaxxDry Glove, Boot and Shoe Dryer

Does a good job!
Bought to address a problem my 20yo son had with his football boots, which after a match would stink like they'd had an Egyptian curse put on them. The unit gives good results, an hours use is usually sufficient to gently dry the boots, and after a couple of uses any shoe odours were much reduced. The unit is adequately constructed, not especially noisy in use - you know when it's on and when it has gone off which on the whole we find reassuring. Too early to say how durable it will be.

It's good but I would buy the bigger version
Okay so I cycle a lot in all weathers and wanted something to dry my shoes out so I could wear them the next day. I wanted something solid and well made so was happy to pay more for something that wouldn't burn the house down as some of the cheaper ones look like they might do. In person this is actually a good piece of kit and clearly made of good materials, everything feels put together nicely. The drying of shoes actually takes longer than you would think as there isn't much airflow and works more from the heat than anything. If I was to buy again I would spend the money on the bigger version as it seems more powerful.

Very low life span
The media could not be loaded. Within 4 month the MaxxDry, smelled like burnt and made a loud noise. I am very disappointed. I won’t buy from them again.

Dries my booits
Works perfectly. Nice long extensions gets right to the end of the boots. Like the mechanical timer. If it goes wrong it can be repaired. Digital stuff is probably a bin job.

i use this dryer on damp trainers. It is not the best quality build but it does work well

What a great idea!
The media could not be loaded. What a great idea!I hike in trail runners and my shoes get soaking wet, and they take a day or two to dry out, especially if I've had to throw them in the washing machine. This MaxxDRY machine delivers a nice constant stream of warm air through the 2 arms, which will be better than me having to put my shoes over the radiators, where the heat is too hot. It has a timer function going up to a max of 180 minutes, the 2 arms are moveable depending on what footwear you put on them.Brilliant, I'm really pleased with it. Highly recommended for people who get their shoes wet out hiking, at work, cycling or walking the dog.It packs nice and flat and comes with a UK standard 3 pin plug.

Warm feet in the morning
It's a tidy little unit which stores away nicely in a corner ready to be used when needed, the weather we are having at the moment means sometimes my boots are a little damp at the end of the working day so this is what it is meant for and it works, what it is best at for me is warming my boots in the morning since I leave the house at 2AM when it is often minus degrees outside it is nice to put your feet into warmish boots, which happens every workday morning, it is one of those things that you don't know you need until you get one and then you are glad you've got one, the timer works well and for me it is usually only on for around 45 minutes unless the boots actually need drying.

Dry and warm.
The media could not be loaded. I never knew such a thing exists - though it really doesn't surprise me that it does, and now that I've seen and used it I think it might be a bit of a game changer.I used it on my husband's desert boots, they weren't really wet, but they were damp. I'd usually just put them under a radiator and let them dry out there, but this time I used this dryer, and it worked a treat. The dryer is very easy to use - plug in, pull the drying ports (arms) into the upright position, pop the boots on and turn the timer to the required time. I wasn't sure how long it would take so I gave it about fifteen minutes and off it went. I didn't think it was too loud and fifteen minutes later the dryer turned off - the boots were warm inside and dry outside. Winner! As a dryer this is a great product, but it can also be used as a warmer. I usually pop socks or gloves on the radiator before wearing but you can't do that with boots. I often feel that leather lined boots are cold when I first put them on and my feet get colder while the boots warm up, but now I can pop them on to this dryer so I'm putting my feet into warm socks then into warm boots with minimal loss of heat. No more cold tootsies.I like that the arms are expandable so they're as good on my knee high boots as on my walking boots. I also like that it folds flat so doesn't take up much room and that it has a nice long power lead so it doesn't have to bee too close to a socket. If I were buying again I'd probably go for the super heavy duty dryer, simply because it has four arms and we could dry two pairs of boots at the same time.At £47.99 (as at 3 December 2023) this is probably a bit on an indulgence for most people, but if you do a lot of hiking or any kind of activity where your footwear gets consistently wet inside or out then such as working on a building site, riding etc then I think this would be a great buy. I'm really pleased I have it and it will get a lot of use, particularly during winter.
