Worth the cost. Excellent product.
First fountain pen I've ever purchased. Well worth the investment. I've already made money back from not having to keep replacing the ball point pens. Ink capsules seem to give a decent amount of ink. I haven't tried getting ink from an inkwell yet with the included adapter. Feels great to hold and writes smoothly. Easy to clear up the nib if for some reason it gets clogged by dry ink. While I have not tried other fountain pens, this is definitely a great gateway into the fountain pen world. I'm already looking at other brands and models curious to see the difference in quality between them all. Definitely an excellent purchase for me.

Beautiful Fountain Pen
Beautiful pen. Solid. Feels just right. Writes very well: no dry ink, no sticky point, and uniform width. It feels like a very expensive fountain pen. And looks very classy too. Also liked the accessories in the box.

Quality writing instrument for a decent price.
This is a HEAVY fountain. pen. This gives it a masculine feel so would be a perfect first pen for a man. In fact it's so heavy it writes better if you don't put the cap on the back of the pen. That's an important detail since most modern fountain pens are light, and balance better with the cap on back. Not this one. It's perfectly balanced if you just place the cap off to the side and start writing. The chrome finish is beautiful. I got the medium nib, and it's pretty big. But it's perfectly accurate even for smaller letters. Writes well on a cotton based paper. I am using one of the black ink cartridges that came with the pen. Surprisingly the ink is very dark and flows well. This pen also comes with a rechargeable ink tank. I will be curious to see if the pen nib works as well with bottled ink. Pelikan is my favorite brand but this nib may be flowy enough that some of the UK inks will work with it. My only complaint is that the machining on the threads for the cap felt rather rough and gritty when screwing it off and on. However as I use the pen more those threads are wearing in nicely and should get smoother over time.

Great pen, except...
I am a collector. Mont Blanc, Waterman, Levenger, Waterford, Cross. You name it. I am a big fan of Wordsworth & Black. With my first purchase, I was surprised by the pen's luxurious look and feel, as well as its smooth writing. So I bought another. This is my third pen from W&B, and I am a little disappointed. It looks fantastic and writes beautifully. However, the threading between the cap and the barrel is poorly done. The threads are too loose, which prevents them from turning smoothly. One of the things I appreciate about the other two fountain pens I have from W&B is that they are not screw on caps. I don't necessarily mind the screw on cap, but if you're going to do it, do it right. This feels sloppy and detracts from the luxury feel I have come to expect from this brand. I understand the price point is not a "luxury" pen, but based on the other two pens I own from this company, you could have fooled me. Until now.

It's a brass body, with a flat mat spray.
Look people, I shouldn't have bought it in the first place. I KNEW better, but I am a fountainpen junkie, and this looked good. It is pretty. I love the color combo - I haven't even inked it though. "Why?" you ask. Cause it is too heavy, too skinny, I don't like the feel of the grip area. I waited too long to return, and I will eventually have to sell it. Not Wordsworth's fault - if I were 18 - 28, this would be a great find. I'm over 50, my needs have changed. I can't support a heavy pen while I write.

Well made, gets lots of comments, good cap seal
I started using fountain pens 30 years ago to slow down my writing a bit so I have a chance of being able to read it at some later point. I don't write enough to drop huge money on a pen, and buying cheap pens almost made me give up the habit. This one saved me, and I find myself looking for excuses to write again. I don't know what it is, but it can sit for weeks and still write. Some of the recent pens I was using, two days later I'd be having to clean the tips, or the ink would have all drained out after a few days, plus I have to clean the tips. This pen though only seems to use ink while it is writing, and can go weeks idle, and then just start writing. Plus, the cap screws on, so when someone asks to borrow it, it is always fun to watch them struggle to just pull it off.

A must have!
My 2nd fountain pen purchase and I’m glad it was this pen. Love the look. Love the weight. Feels and writes like a much more expensive pen. Recommend the brand.

Great pen. It has the right feeling and weight and the nib is perfect. Flows well and not scratchy. Love it.
