Wanted to try these supplements as part of an anti aging regime. There are supposed to be a lot of benefits to taking NR but its expensive. The first thing that threw me off a bit was the brand name of Swiss bioenergetics, which is not Swiss at all but from the UK. Putting Swiss in the name gives a certain confidence in the product but these are being sold from north London. So I don't know about the true origin of these supplements, and if they are actually made in the uk. There is a website for this brand but no further information to answer this. I have tentatively started taking one tab every couple of days and had no issues. I hope these supplements are what they say they are, and will update if any side effects. Equally if they work well, I will also update. At 90 caps, these will last over 3 months.

Swiss BioEnergetics 'Nicotinamide Riboside NAD+ Booster 300 mg' contains 90 one-a-day vegan capsules. The capsules are easy to swallow and the label advises to "take one capsule daily with food and water". Up to 300 mg of Nicotinamide Riboside per day appear to be considered safe, mostly without any side effects. There are no human studies to support the claims made about this product or its safety in higher dosages. The potential benefits associated with Nicotinamide Riboside mostly come from animal studies which used much higher dosages (in the region of 300 mg/kg); human studies taking 1000 to 2000 mg per day had no harmful effects but long term usage does not appear to have been tested for safety, and more human research is needed. Each capsule weighs about 556 mg; according to the ingredients list on the label, 300 mg of the contents is Nicotinamide Riboside Chloride (as a form of Niacin Vitamin B3), the remainder is Rice Flour (Oryza sativa), and the capsule itself is hypromellose (HPMC). Generally the label is very clear; a batch number is provided on the label for traceability, as is an allergy statement, specifying that "this product is manufactured in a facility that handles allergy-based materials"—however, we do not know which ones—but we are told elsewhere that the product is gluten and lactose free. It indicates that this supplement is manufactured in the UK to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards for SwissBioEnergetics, which appears to be a trade name for Countercom Ltd, for whom address, website, and email address are provided. Swiss BioEnergetics' website states that their products are also manufactured to ISO 9001, which is a quality standard, and that their Nicotinamide Riboside is pharmaceutical grade, however we have no way of verifying this. It is also not specified anywhere if their products are third-party tested for potency, quality and safety, nor do we have any indication of who the actual manufacturer is.
